Alexa was pacing to and fro, the tension clearly written on her face. Everybody, except the six of us, had gone to their rooms. We were sitting on the deck, under the stars.
The moon is reaching its apex in the sky.....
"Alexa, calm down! It's okay, nothing happened to any of us....", David tried to reassure her.
"Can you please SHUT UP?!! Savage was out there..... fighting a WEREWOLF alone and you are asking ME to "calm down"?! What if he is KILLED?! "
"Maybe that wasn't Savage.....", Stacey suggested.
"No, it was him. I know it."
"That wolf is stronger than you think. So, there is hope for his survival. Plus, werewolves and wolves are not really enemies. That means, they won't want to kill each other." I hoped that would ease her worry.
Alexa stared at me for sometime, analysing what I said.
She has to be the one..... I can see it in her eyes... Her aura is powerful. I can sense it....
"...... She will be brave. She will defend the people she loves. Her determination will be one of her greatest powers....." These words from my past, drifted into my head.
When my mind finally stopped wandering, I realised Alexa was glaring at me.
I probably stared at her for too long....
"Do you know what your name means, Alexa?", I asked, wanting to distract her.
It worked. She looked puzzled.
"Alexa is the shortened form for Alexandra. The female form of Alexander, which in Greek means 'Defender of Man'."
"Right. And, I can't defend myself from mere mosquitoes. Wow!" She smiled sheepishly at me.
"Hey! It's happening!", Victor exclaimed, pointing to the sky.
I looked up and realised that the moon had reached its apex in the sky. The transformation had begun. With the moon in the centre, the night sky began to swirl around it. Infinite number of stars appeared, all of them seeming to spiral downwards.

"Oh my God!! What's happening?!" Katylin was clutching my bandaged hand, looking genuinely frightened.
Stacey and Alexa were holding on to each other, eyes bulging out of their sockets as they looked above.
A fog started to envelop us. Stacey looked as if she would faint any minute. Victor rushed to her side and held her in his arms. David and Alexa stood hugging each other.
