|Ranked #1 under Bermuda Triangle (as on 05-09-2018)|
Alexa Lake (Lexi) is an 18 year old with a perfectly ordinary life. That is until she decides to vacation on a small island, dangerously close to the Bermuda Triangle, along with some friends...
When the groggy feeling finally cleared, I realised with my eyes closed, that I was in a brightly lit place, sleeping on a bed that felt too warm and comfortable for my liking. I tried to open my eyes but the light was piercing my pupils. In an attempt to shield it, I tried to lift my right hand to cover my eyes.
A piercing pain coursed up my hand. That's when I realised miserably that my vein had been pricked to administer IV fluid and groaned in discomfort.
I became aware of footsteps approaching me quickly.
"Lexi, are you alright?!"
Though the voice seemed to familiar, I found it difficult to place.
I squinted, trying to make out the person hovering over my bed.
Though my vision was blurry in the beginning, I was finally able to see a clear picture after a few minutes probably.
"Mike? Is that you...?" My voice sounded husky.
"Yeah, it's me. Try not to move much."
"What's happening? Where am I?" I suddenly remembered my last encounter with the wolves and I felt my heart flutter in my chest.
Mike could make out that I was freaking out a bit. Okay, maybe more than a bit.
"Hey, calm down. Don't worry Lexi. You're safe now. There are no wolves here." He almost smirked.
What's so funny?
"But how did they just disappear?"
"Well...it wasn't exactly them that disappeared. You did."
"What?! How?!!"
"Um...how do I explain it... let's say you passed through a portal."
"A portal?! Then where the hell am I now?!"
"That's not important. What matters is that you are safe."
"How did you find me?"
"I knew how to."
There is nothing more annoying than talking to a cryptic person. Trust me.
I wanted to remove the stupid thing off my hand and walk upto the windows in hopes of guessing where I was. When I stopped asking questions, Mike went back to solving a purple Ghost cube.

His fingers sorted it out smoothly, very much unlike me who found it difficult to solve a Rubik's cube itself.
After observing him for a few seconds, I slowly sat up on the bed. Though my body felt a little stiff, it seemed fine except for the drip needle that pierced the dorsum of my hand.
I was in a room with a high ceiling, that looked much too modern for my liking. There was absolutely no hint warmth that one would find in a cosy room with a wooden floor, dim lighting and a comfy sofa with a blanket and pillow. This was too bright and meticulously cleaned. It was spacious, since there wasn't much furniture. Plus there were some stuffs that I had never seen in my life. Probably gizmos of some sort.
