Hannah can't stop smiling and staring at her while they are on their way to the mall.
"Hannah." Natatawa nyang puna sa kasama.
"What?"
"I can't focus om driving. You're so silent and keep on staring at me. I feel so weird."
Hannah laughed at what she said.
"I'm sorry. Kinikilig lang naman ako, ate Shar."
Napailing naman sya dito.
"Ate, I know you and kuya donny doesn't start your relationship well. I mean, like what you guys said, what happened between the two of you was just an accident."
She did a quick glance at Hannah, "A-huh?"
Hannah cleared her throat. "You know, hindi naman na secret sayo na we like you for kuya Donny, right? Even mom and dad."
Alangan syang dahan dahan na tinango ang ulo habang may pagtatakang ekspresyon sa mukha.
Sharlene chuckle, "Yeah? So, what's your point?"
"Uh, about what you did earlier."
"Oh, the kiss." Sharlene said
She felt her face like burning when she remember what she did earlier. Hindi nya alam bakit nya ginawa 'yon. Basta ang alam nya lang, maganda ang gising nya. At kahit nito pang mga nakaraang araw. Masaya sya. And she thinks that is the reason why she shamelessly kissed donny earlier. And if you'll ask her why is she happy, well, she doesn't know either.
Hannah's smile widened, "We all know na you guys will marry each other soon pero.."
"Pero?"
"Uh, you know, when a man and woman got married, that's for a lifetime. Do you have feelings for my kuya na ba?" Maingat na tanong ni Hannah
Hindi sya agad nakasagot. Tila nawala sya sa focus sa pagdadrive at biglang napapreno na ikinagulat naman ng isa.
"OH MY GOD!" hannah shouted in shock and touched her chest
She immediately looked at Hannah and apologize.
"Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to do that! I didn't mean to scare you!"
"No, it's fine. I know that." Hannah said when she finnaly recovered in shock. "Let's stop here muna, ate."
Sharlene sigh. "Sorry talaga."
She heard hannah chuckled, "I said it's fine. So, care to answer my question?"
For the second time, she sigh again. Sa totoo lang ay ilang beses nya na iyan tinanong sa sarili. May gusto na nga ba sya sa ama ng anak nya? She think again the symptoms of the thing called 'love' na naramdaman nya everytime Donny is around.
"I don't know." Mababa ang tonong sagot nya
"Paanong hindi mo alam?"
Sharlene shrugged. Well, she's so comfortable with him but this past few weeks, she noticed something. Di nya lang pinapahalata pero para syang kinakabahan. But despite that feeling, gusto nyang laging malapit dito. His laughter became the best music to her ears. His smile can definitely make her bad days better in an instant. She's lowkey hiding her face when he's doing something she find sweet because she feels like her face is as red a tomato. It is really a good thing that she's good at hiding her emotions. That's her talent, she must say.
"Basta. I-I'm just happy when he's around. My heart beats like crazy for him. Argh, basta!" Sharlene doesn't want to say all the love symptoms she felt kasi baka mawala din ito. Baka mali lang sya. Ayaw nyang paasahin ang kapatid at pamilya ni Donny
