(Your Outfit)
(Y/N)'s POV
Mr. and Mrs. had been wondering why business had been slow all day so they decided to investigate. Max and I were sharing a bag of popcorn as we followed his parents outside the sub station. As we stepped out the door we were met with a lady in a salad costume passing out flyers.
Mrs. Russo gasped, "Look at this! No wonder we had such a slow day."
Walking up to the lady, Mrs. Russo asked, "Uh, excuse me, what do you think you're doing? It's not Halloween and you're a little too old to be trick-or-treating anyway."
Max and I kept munching on the popcorn as I whispered, "It's about to get real."
"Listen, if you don't mind, why don't you stand in front of the clown supply? I'd think you fit in better over there," Mr. Russo jumped in.
"I have to stand here because I'm stealing your costumers with my crisp lettuce and crunchy cucumbers," The salad lady responded as she handed out another flyer.
"You can't do that!" Max exclaimed as I nodded in agreement.
The salad lady looked Max and I, replying, "That's what the hot dog guy in Washington Square Park said. Now he's the guy holding the arrow pointing towards 'Cheap Furniture Going Out of Business'. So back off meat eaters!"
"Listen you talking bowl of freak!" Mrs. Russo started as Max and I held her back.
"You are not gonna steal our customers. Submarine sandwiches have a long history in New York City and I know New Yorkers, and New Yorkers love sandwiches. They're not just gonna give 'em up for tomatoes, carrots, and what are those snails?"
The salad lady scoffed, "They're porcini mushrooms."
Mr. Russo gasped, "Oh! I love porcini mushrooms."
"Jerry! Get inside!" Mrs. Russo exclaimed, pulling him into the Sub Station with Max and I following.
"Okay look, all we have to do is advertise our shop like she advertises hers," Mr. Russo said as we walked inside.
