(Y/N)'s POV

Max and I were relaxing in the Russo family living room and reading some comics we had just bought from the comic shop down the street when Mr. Russo walked in with his newspaper.

"I can't believe it! Someone's been robbing delis in alphabetical order. They're calling him, "The Alphabetical Order Deli Robber."

"What?" Max and I questioned at the same time, standing up from our sitting places.

"Yeah, he started with the Aardvark Cafe, then he hit the Banana Hut, and he's worked his way up to the Umbrella Stand," Mr. Russo continued.

Max and I looked at him confused. "Umbrella Stand Deli?" Max asked.

"It's food you can eat in the rain," Mr. Russo explained.

"Oh!" Max replied nodding as I still was skeptical, I mean I haven't heard of this "Alphabetical Order Deli Robber".

Mr. Russo continued, "According to this article, the robber's been stealing money out of tip jars."

Max scoffed as we sat back down, "So what? You don't give us the tips anyway, Dad. And you know half that money's 'cause of these dimples right here." I chuckled as Mx smiled to show of his dimples.

"Oh well he's also taking all the cupcakes," Mr. Russo added.

"Cupcakes? What a messed up world!" Max exclaimed, "What are the cops doing about it?"

"Nothing," Mr. Russo replied.

"That doesn't surprise me," I muttered under my breath.

"I guess they're too busy with criminals who steal big things like cars and jewels," Mr. Russo continued.

"Are you kidding me? I haven't used a car or a jewel in years, but I eat a cupcake every morning with (Y/N)," Max replied.

"Yeah, that's why your dentist sends me a Christmas gift every year," Mr. Russo added.

"Wait a minute. If the Deli Robber just robbed the Umbrella Stand Deli, then that would mean...A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V" Max started to sing the Alphabet, "The Viking Deli is probably next! And that's just down the block!"

"Yes it is Maxy," Mr. Russo replied.

"And after the Viking Deli then..." Max continued before he was about to sing the alphabet again

Gasping, I jumped up as I interrupted, "Dude, that means the Waverly Sub Station would be next!"

"Ugh if only the Spandex Avenger were real, he could stop the Deli Robber," Max sighed.

I shook my head, "If only. It's getting late, I better head home. Night Max, Night Mr. Russo."

"Night (Y/N)!" Max and Mr. Russo replied as I head out, wondering if Max was about to pull another one of his plans to capture the Deli Robber.

A couple of days later Max and I had met up and were sitting outside the Waverly Sub Station, eating some cupcakes I had brought over for him and his family. He had told me about his superhero alter ego and how he was going to catch the Deli Robber.

"So I never asked but did Maximan ever catch the the Deli Robber?" I asked.

Max sighed, "Yes and no. I captured him but it turned out it was just my Dad trying to teach Justin, Alex and I a lesson on teamwork."

I nodded, "So there never was a Deli Robber."

"Nope, I dressed up in a really tight spandex suit for nothing," Max replied.

"Not for nothing! Dude, you literally ran towards danger like a real hero! Like the Spandex Avenger! I mean sure it was just your Dad but yu had the guts to go after a robber!" I exclaimed.

"You really think I'm that brave?" Max asked.

I nodded, "Duh, and I'm not just saying that because I'm your friend, I really mean it Max."

Max side hugged me, "Thanks Y/N. Y'know, Maximan could use a partner?"

I looked at him, smiling when we heard a "Help!" and saw a guy running away and a woman shouting, "That man stole my purse!"

Max and I looked at each other, smiling and running off to follow the man.
