(Y/N)'s POV
"Max I can't help you study if you keep giving me that look," I said turning to him.
'What look?" he asked as he purposefully stuck out his lip and gave me puppy dog eyes.
I was helping Max study for an upcoming history test since it wasn't his strongest subject. I honestly think he was distracted since he wouldn't stop giving me puppy dog eyes. How did I end up with a goofball of a boyfriend?
I turned to him, smiling, "If we take a quick break will you stop?"
"You know you love it," Max replied as he smiled back.
I rolled my eyes playfully, "Uh huh."
"Now come on! The hot dog stand just arrived and I want my usual!" Max exclaimed, taking my hand and linking it with mine.
I got up as he took my hand and we walked out of the Sub Station with Max swinging our arms together as we walked to the hot dog cart.
"The usual please," Max said, "Do you want anything?"
"I'm fine Max, thank you though," I replied, smiling.
He smiled back as the lady handed him his hot dog. Max frowned, "Mustard, again? What's going on with you? You know the usual has ketchup."
"Right. Don't call the cops I'll fix it," The lady said in a monotone voice. She scraped off the ketchup with her finger (that was gloved thank goodness) and squirted ketchup on it before handing it to Max.
"We need to figure out what's happening between us," Max said. I rolled my eyes at his dramatics but didn't stop smiling.
The lady leaned forward, " I think I figured out what's happening. You're holding up the line. Next!"
She set the hot dog down in Max's free hand as I pulled him away. "Handsome, it's just a hot dog."
"I know but...did you just call me handsome?" Max asked looking at me as we sat down on the steps of the Waverly Sub Station.
