(Y/N)'s POV
Max and I were walking out of class at the end of the day with Justin and talking about our Career Classes and the new information we learned. "So it turns out you need 1,500 hours to become a hair stylist," I said since the topic today was the amount of work/ schooling you needed for certain jobs.
"Yeah, I just found out in Career Class that you only need to go to school 40 hours to become a pilot. I totally have that kind of time," Max added.
Justin looked at Max, "Dude, you've never even been in a plane. They're not gonna let you fly one."
Max crossed his arms, "You were 40 hours away from me asking you to be my co-pilot. Let's go (Y/N)."
I waved to Justin as I followed Max out of school. "So you've never really been on a plane?" I asked him.
"Nope, never needed to," Max replied.
"Why? Have you not gone anywhere far enough to sanction a plane ride?" I asked.
He shook his head, "Nope!"
I chuckled, "The last time I went on a plane I got sick before take off. Bad fast food."
"So would being my co-pilot be out of the question?" Max asked.
I shook my head, "Not a chance flyboy. Someone has to keep you safe in the air."
He smiled and wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I wrapped my around his as we made it to the crosswalk. We waved our goodbyes and headed to our homes.
Later that night as I was getting ready for bed I got a text from Alex with a picture of Max in a pilot's suit. I laughed and sent back an 'Lol' before falling asleep dreaming of the skies.

Q: When will you update? [A: Whenever it's convenient for me as my days can vary from busy to relaxed and my recent hiatus was addressed.]
I did want to address the update question. I know what it's like to read a multi-chapter fanfic and updates take a while because the author needs time to both think, recuperate and not burn out their creativity. So know that I won't abandon this fic or the future two books and I'll update as much as possible without exhausting myself or my creativity.
