(Y/N)'s POV

Max and I were walking into the Waverly Sub Station. He had told me about wanting to be a magician. I supported him as he showed me his magic tricks. We made our way to the Sub Station and he opened the doors dramatically, announcing, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen."

"Mom, I brought you the newspaper," Max said, holding out today's newspaper he got from outside.

She was about to take it when he pulled it back, "Or...possibly flowers."

He then pulled out a bouquet of flowers from his cape, handing them to Mrs. Russo. She took them, "Oh thanks honey. These are nice, but I kind of wanted the coupons from the paper."

Max shook his head and walked over to Justin and Alex as I followed patting his back, "I thought it looked cool."

Max smiled, "Thanks (Y/N)."

"Max what are you doing?" Justin asked.

"I'm practicing to be a magician, sam as you guys," Max replied.

They both started to laugh before Alex said, "That's great Max. But we said 'musician' not 'magician'."

Justin strummed a tune on his electric guitar as Max responded, "Oh. Maybe Dad's right. Less talking more listening."

Justin, Alex and I looked at him confused as he smiled, "But it's so hard to listen with all this money in my ears."

He then proceeded to pull out two fake coins from behind his ears. I started to clap a little as he bowed.

I guess Max, Justin and Alex were all showcasing talents at the Sub Station at something called "Waverly After Dark" and Max had invited me to come. I sat up front near a guy with some kind of facial deformity but I paid no mind to it, it's New York. I watched as Max poured milk into a newspaper and unrolled it to reveal a milk carton.

"The Great Maxini thanks you!" Max exclaimed.

I clapped loudly to show my support as he stepped down from stage, he smiled at me and we both walked over to the counter towards his parents.

"Looks like you might be working here after all. Here you go, Max. I took the liberty of having it personalized," Mr. Russo then showed Max an apron with 'The Great Maxini' on it.

"The Great Maxini is offended by your lack of support," Max replied, "His next trick will blow your minds. After it pops into my mind."

He walked away and I tapped his shoulder, "Well the Great Maxini looks very handsome and I thought the tricks were very creative."

"Thank you (Y/N)! Here," He then pulled out flowers from  his suit jacket, "For you."

"Thanks! Does the Great Maxini want a smoothie from down the street?" I asked.

"Yes please," Max replied.

I smiled heading out the door to go and get us some smoothies when I came back the whole family was heading out.

"Where are you guys going?" I asked.

"Dad wanted to be a bull rider so we're going to find a mechanical bull place!" Max exclaimed, "Wanna come?"

"Sure!" I replied, setting the smoothies down on the counter and following them out.

Max held out his arm, "M'lady."

I snorted, "Dork," but I took his arm anyways as we followed the rest of his family.

We finally ended up at a place nearby and watched Mr. Russo, or the "Italian Buckaroo", ride a mechanical bull. We were cheering him on when five seconds later he fell off.

"Well that looked fun, me next!" I exclaimed.

"Me too!" Max exclaimed as well.

"Nope, we are going home!" Mrs. Russo exclaimed.

"Aww," Max and I sighed.

We all left as I checked my phone, "My mom is driving over to pick me up. See you guys later!"

A chorus of 'byes' was heard as I broke off from the group. But before I left Max stopped me, "Before you go, guess what is behind your ear?"

I smiled, "A coin?"

"Better," He then reached behind my ear and pulled out two coins, "Two coins."

I clapped, "Good job."

"The Great Maxini thanks you and good night!" He exclaimed.

"Night Max, I'll see you tomorrow," I replied as we hugged and went our separate ways. I flipped the coins smiling.
