April 10th

I haven't heard from Jay. I wake up to no messages every day contrast from the usual "Good morning beautiful have a fantastic day". I miss him so much. I know that he got in a huge fight with Dylan the other night and that they've been separated ever since. I also know that there's one thing I can do for him that he might appreciate. But I have to go through the one person he doesn't like me being around for the plan to work. Logan.

I'm in my dorm room and I walk over to sit on my bed. I go to Logan's contact in my phone and tap the call icon.

"Hey." I say simply.

"Hey there, brown eyes what's up?" he responds.

"So, I'm wanting to do something nice and I'm gonna need your help to do it." I tell him.

"Okay. So what is it?" he asks.

"Can you call the school and recommend Jay for off campus housing?

"Now why should I do that?" he asks in a cocky tone.

"Since you are the one who reported him and got him kicked out in the first place. And I don't want him to be living on campus now that we've broken up and now especially with the recently resurfaced Dylan drama." I explain.

"Alright, fair enough. Plus I don't want you near him. He'll just continue to hurt you brown eyes. But I want something in return." He responds.

I roll my eyes, thankful he can't see it through the phone, "Great, what?" I say unenthusiastically.

"Take your job back. I'll pay you extra give you less hours let you work in the kitchen more, I'll do whatever. Just come back."

"Logan..."

"Please?"

"Okay. I'm going away for spring break this week, but when I get back, okay." I say without even thinking a second more about my decision.

"So we have a deal then?" he asks confirming.

"Yes we do," I say confirming.

"Alright see you next week then?" he asks.

"Yeah. Bye." I reassure him.

"Bye." he says.

April 10th morning of The Hamptons trip

Logan talked to the school's administration and Jay got a permit to live off campus. Dylan will stay in their dorm room since he's an underclassmen. Jay hasn't really talked about the trip. Macy says he's not going and wanted to let us girls go by ourselves so that's what's going to happen as of now.

I'm walking back into the dorm from the dining hall after a late morning breakfast

"Hey Mac, you almost ready?" I ask.

"Yeah, just about." she walks over to me and puts her hand on her hips,

"Am I missing anything?" she asks herself as she clicks her tongue,

I look at her suitcase that she's barely fitting everything in to "I don't think so." I laugh.

"Haha funny, you're lucky, you don't have as many outfits." she whines.

I put my hands up innocently, "I have almost the same amount of outfits as you do...I just don't care about them as much as you do."

She dramatically acts offended, "How dare you accuse me of caring too much!" she laughs.

I laugh back, "Well, I'm going to go start loading my very minimal stuff in your car and then run by the front office to turn my keycard in for the week." I say half-jokingly.

"Okay sounds great. I'll join you in a few."

"Okay." I say before leaving the dorm.

Macy and I are finally on the road and jammin' out to the latest hits on the stereo

"So if you're okay talking about it. What's the latest?" she asks curiously.

"Latest on what Mace?" I ask.

"Logan and Jay." she says.

"Mace, you're making it seem like there's some kind of competition. There's not. I love Jay. No doubt about it." I say.

"Then why'd you accept a ride home from Logan?" she asks making a good point.

"What was I supposed to do? I thought all the transportation had been closed down." I say defending myself.

"You could've asked someone else or any of your friends here." she says. You could've done literally anything else.

"I know. But..." I say.

"Wait did something happen that night?" she asks.

"He touched my hair once. But I mean a lot of people do that." I reply.

"No they don't Bri." she says.

"Okay. So a lot of people don't do that then. Doesn't mean it meant anything. I don't like him like that."

"You sure about that?"

"Yeah. I'm sure, I just-" I take a breath,

"I don't want to talk about it anymore Mace." I say.

"Okay." she says.

As we finally arrive at the beach house I stick my head out the window,

"Woah, this beach house is beautiful!" I say.

"I know right. I'm thankful my parent's friends could get us this deal." Macy replies.

"Me too Mace." I reply.

I walk into my room and I feel right at home. The room's cozy and has its own bathroom attached to it. Believe it or not I've never been to a house where I've had my own bathroom. It's crazy. I already know I'm going to enjoy staying here for the weekend

While I'm admiring the room Macy walks in

"Hey Bri after you unpack do you wanna check out the beach?" she asks.

"Sure! That's why we're here right?" I laugh.

I quickly unpack and set out all my outfits

Then I go to the kitchen and unpack the foods I brought in the cooler

The breeze is light on the beach and I can smell the sand and hear the ocean waves.

I take my shoes off and put them in my bag and feel the sand between my toes.

"This is so relaxing. I needed this. Just a relaxing girls weekend with you." I say to her.

"I feel you. I don't think anywhere is better than this right now."

***

Once we arrive back at the house. I rinse the sand off my feet, put my hair up, and change into comfortable clothes before joining Macy for dinner in front of the big screen TV in the living room

"I swear, this is the gonna be the best vacation ever." I say.
