It's just a normal coffee shop. We sell coffee (obviously) and other hot drinks, food, and milkshakes during the nicer weather. Its hardly busy as it's situated on a little road in Bristol but we do get some days which are fairly busy. i work here most days when im not at university or visiting family and i love it here, it's perfect.
April 1st
Today is my least favourite day. 4 years ago on this day i was in a car crash. Thankfully no one was hurt (well my dad broke his ribs but they were already fractured from a skiing accident a few months before) but I've never been able to get in a car properly again.
On a happier note, its Brooke's birthday, which means i need to put on a fake face and pretend that I'm okay. I'll do that for Brooke. Shes been my best friend for so long, i cant imagine life without her."Happy Birthday Brooke" i yell as i walk into her house, hands full with presents.
"Hey Lex! Thankyou" she says as she nearly pulls me over from hugging me too hard.
"Hows things with you then?" i ask
"Well, lex you'll never guess what..." brooke says
"I dont know, just tell me!" i reply
"IM GOING TO SEE DIVERSITY" she screams and nearly bursts into tears.
"Brooke that's amazing!" i say. Brooke's been obsessed with diversity for years; I've never really seen what she sees though. I get that their talented, but she thinks the kid with the insane afro is really cute and i dont really see that. Hes just a guy, a guy who will never know people like she and I exist.
