Sue looks at me.
"You can go for an hour if you want" she says to me, glancing casually at Perri who's pulling his beanie far down his head, as if he's trying to hide his face. I wonder if that's a confidence thing or if he's just trying not to be seen in public.
"Thank you!" i shout as I collect my stuff and walk out the door, Perri following me like a lost puppy.
"Are you going to say hi?" Perri asks as soon as we get out of the door.
"Did i not say anything when you walked in?" i ask nervously.
"No, but it was obvious that you were talking about me to your boss" he says to me, inquisitively
"So what if i was? Sue was telling me that she didn't think you would turn up." I say bluntly.
"So just because im famous, doesn't mean I can't be loyal or keep a promise to meet you?" He says sadly.
"Great we've hardly been talking and I've already pissed you off" I say, looking at my feet. Perri curls his hand round mine and we walk in silence for a few minutes until I decide to make conversation.
"You were incredible last night!" i say, looking at him in awe.
"Thanks, i didn't think you were a fangirl." he says.
"I'm not. The only person who I know the name of is you, and that's only because of those 3 girls who were pestering you in the coffee shop yesterday" i say. i feel kind of ashamed now that I don't know any of diversity.
"So up until yesterday, you didn't know I existed?" he asks.
"Pretty much, yeah. Although my best friend has pictures of you in her room but your hair was different yesterday so I didn't recognise you." I say.
"Oh right. Im Perri. You can call me Pel though." he introduces himself. I laugh.
"I'm Lexi" i smile at him.
