It's now or never. I'm holding up the stupid queue just from my nerves, which I only ever get if I like someone. But how can i like someone I've never spoken to?The woman next to me speaks again.
"Its your turn, off you go" she says impatiently. I know I have to go over there. I'm scared. i want him to recognize me but I dont want him to recognize me.

I walk over to the two tall guys next to them. Who even are they? I'm not a real diversity fan, I just came for Brooke. And Perri.
"Hi" I say to them. My plan is to just have a quick conversation with them and move on quickly to Perri, but they keep me talking for a while. Eventually they let me go over to Perri, who instantly pulls me into a hug, like the others did, but harder, more... romantic? I dont know, I'm not an expert in romance. I give into the hug and put my arms round him, my face full of his insanely wild hair. Wow, I love his hair.
"Hey, Coffee Shop Girl," he whispers into my ear, sending shivers down me spine. He remembers me! I pull away from him and look him up and down.
"Hi" I say timidly, catching his eye and smiling a little. I cant stop shaking, and I think he noticed as he put his hands on my arms as if to stop me shaking.
"I knew I'd see you round, just didnt expect you to be a fan" he says quietly so noone hears us.
"I came with my friend, it was her birthday present and her cousin was supposed to be going with her but couldnt make it in time, so came to the coffee shop just after you left, trying to pester me to come with her instead" I reply, glancing around to see if any one is noticing us. So far so good.
"And I see she pestered you enough, huh?" Perri asks me.
"Yeah. So dont go thinking I came to see you!" I say sarcastically, hoping he doesnt take any offence to it.
"When are you working next?" He asks, avoiding my previous comment.
"T-Tomorrow" I stammer, the nerves catching up with me again.
"See you tomorrow then Lexi" he smiles as I walk away, looking back at him to make sure he is actually real.
