What's Wrong With Milkshakes?

"Lexi...LEXI!" my boss is shouting now. i zoned out completely!
"Thinking about milkshake boy?" Sue asks
"Stop!! No... I don't know." i smile a little at the nickname she gave him. Milkshake boy... I like that.
"Well you're clearly denying it, so yes you were thinking about him." Sue says to me.
"Fine" I say, "maybe I was... a little" i go bright red again. 'wow, I really need to control my facial muscles!" I think to myself.

im still in shock when Brooke bursts in.
"Lexi!! Its an hour until I see Perri!" Shes yelling again. I wince from her insane volume.
"Brooke please be quiet, im working" I say to her, trying to calm her down.
"My cousin is stuck in traffic, shes going to miss the show!" Brooke says. She seems sad.
"Oh, that's such a shame. So you have a spare ticket now?" I ask her subtly
"Yeah, I guess i do. Hey, do you want to come with me?" Brooke says. Good. She didnt take my hint too much, I dont want to seem keen.
"Yeah. Yeah sure I can do. I mean I dont actually know anything about them but sure." I say.
"Great! It will be amazing with both of us!" She exclaims, "Also, I got us vip tickets, so we'll be meeting them beforehand, if that's okay?" Brooke adds.
"W-We're meeting them?" I stutter. I'm freaking out again. I'll be seeing Perri again. 'What if he recognises me?' I think.
"YES!! IM SO EXCITED" Brooke yells at me.
i look at my boss.
"Hey, Sue, do you mind if I leave now, as me and Brooke are going to see Diversity in an hour? i ask.
"Yes Lex that's fine. I'll see you tomorrow?" She says.
"Of course. Enjoy!" Sue beams at me as I walk out of the coffee shop, winking at me as I make eye contact with her.
"What was the wink about?" Brooke questions me.
"Oh, nothing" i say.
"Lex! Stop being secretive" Brooke says under her breath, only just loud enough for me to hear.
"I'll tell you at some point, okay?" I say to her.
