Part 4: Ready For The Performance

Y/N POV

I stood outside Legosi's dorm. Yesterday we were declared friends, so I wanted to surprise him so we could have breakfast together. I hesitated before knocking, I exhaled, but went through with it. After I knocked, I heard chatter in the room and footsteps coming near the door. It opened, and I was about to smile and greet Legosi, but someone else answered the door. I was facing a short golden retriever. He was about 2 inches taller than me. My smile faded, but his grew wide. "Hello?" I had a bored expression on my face. "Hi! Can I help you with something?" He sounded oddly.. enthusiastic.. "Hello, is Legosi here?" I looked behind the retriever, and saw 4 other canines. I wasn't shocked that they were all canines, I was shocked that they had to share a room with each other, and there was 5 of them! I don't even have one roommate. I smiled as Legosi made his way towards me. "Hey, Y/N.. What are you doing here?" He looked nervous, I frowned. "To see you, of course! Since we are officially friends, would you like to have breakfast with me?" He started sweating, I was fearing a rejection. "I-I yeah, that sounds nice." I grinned happily.

 We made our way to the cafeteria, and we both got the carnivore breakfast. We chatted for a while and eventually we both finished eating. "Hey Y/N, I can go take our trays." I smiled at him. "That would be wonderful! Thank you." I sat in my seat, waiting. I looked around and saw the girls from yesterday. I froze as they made their way towards me. The panther snickered. "Hi, little tramp!" Her friends laughed, and my ears drooped. "I heard your dad was a gorilla, are you as idiotic as them? Probably not, I think your a little more stupid." She laughed harder now, and tears stung my eyes. I put my head down and let my tears fall. I looked up, and saw Legosi watching from a distance. He looked pissed. I wiped my tears away as he walked towards me, I usually force a smile in times like these, but whenever I see him I can't help but smile genuinely. He looked mad, then worried. "Hey Y/N, are you okay? Did something happen?" I shook my head. "No, I'm fine now that you're here." He looked away from me, he looked embarrassed, and I smiled. "Let's just go, class starts soon." Legosi and I only have two classes together. In total, I have 6 periods besides drama. We have P.E, and history together. But math is my first subject, so we parted ways. I went through the day in a daze, I couldn't tell if I was just tired, or if it was something else. When the lunch bell rang I smiled, and took out an egg-salad sandwich. I had never tried them before, but Legosi recommended them to me, saying they were delicious. So I had to try one out. I bit into it, and my eyes closed with bliss. "This is delicious!" I mumbled to myself. I looked around and saw the panther girl and her friends. I froze, and ducked behind my seat. I usually am strong against bullies, but their genuine hatred got to me. I got back up, and walked to my next class.

Legosi POV

I can't believe someone would do that to her. Were they the same girls who bullied her yesterday? I clenched my teeth angrily, but shook it off. After the last bell rang, I got out of my chair, and walked to drama-club, my back slouched. Today was the day of the first performance, so I made my way to the auditorium instead of building 2. As I walked backstage I wondered about Rouis's ankle. He hurt it badly, maybe he fractured it? Or maybe he broke it. I hoped for the best, Rouis wasn't really my friend but I still had to care for him. He was the star of drama-club and was probably going to become the next Beastar, so I had to worry about him atleast a little bit.

 I climbed the ladder leading to the lights. I looked down at the auditorium and saw Y/N come in. I felt sympathy for her, everyone Is attacking her even though she hasn't done anything to them. Remembering when we walked in the hall and boys were eyeing her, I got irritated. I saw bill, he was playing a minor villain roll. He was watching Y/N and I instantly got annoying. He smirked at her as she passed, and she looked unsettled. While she was climbing up the ladder, a piece of metal was sticking out of the side. Her hand got caught on it and a gash was cut into her hand. She lost her balance and fell off the ladder. Her white fur was stained with blood. "Y/N! Are you okay?" I rushed down the ladder. Her eyes were wide with horror. I saw Bill next to the spot where she cut her hand, holding something. I didn't think anything of it, too concerned with Y/N. I kneeled down next to her, and put my hand on her shoulder. Rouis and the rest of the club approached her, but she stood up, blood dripping onto the floor. I saw Bill's eyes widen as he sniffed the air. I scowled subconsciously. What was he up to?

Y/N POV

The cut burned, my white fur I cherished being tainted with blood. Legosi helped me with disinfecting it and putting on bandages. I was touched by  how much he cared, it made me happy inside. After all the commotion, I mopped up the small amount of blood, and there was 20 minutes till showtime. I went up the ladder before Legosi, forgetting I had a skirt on. I don't think he realized because he climbed up after me. He made a startled noise a few seconds after that. I blushed a bright shade of red, but shook my head when I reached the top. Legosi looked away from me as he adjusted the lights. I watched the show from above, and I didn't miss the way Legosi focused on his work. I smiled at that, he was so genuine. The show went by smoothly. I looked at Rouis's performance, he was talented. But, he looked very familiar. Then the memory came back to me. My father had a Business conference with the Beastar and Rouis was there too. My father said we should become friends, but I didn't like the way he stared. it was creepy. After the curtain closed, the roaring applause didn't stop. But Rouis did, he collapsed on stage. Concerned, I went back down the ladder, and everyone ran down to check on him. He wasn't moving, what happened?

This chapter was pretty cute, I'm glad Legosi and Reader-Chan are getting closer. I might update one more time tonight, we'll have to see how I'm feeling. Till next time! Hope you enjoyed. <3
