Part 8: Getting Closer

Legosi POV

We made our way into the subway, and Y/N sat next to me. I could see her obvious tiredness, she rested her head on my shoulder and fell asleep. I was sweating bullets. The other passengers on the train were looking at me strangely, but I could understand why. At first look, Y/N looks like a herbivore. No carnivores are that short, and they usually aren't snow white. I was getting worried glares, and I started sweating even more. I heard whispers and people pointing quietly. When we arrived I shook Y/N awake and walked out of the subway, and I saw her following me. It was pitch black outside, and Y/N was obviously tired. She would be an easy target for a lot of things. I walked her to her dorm building, and she thanked me. "Mm.. Thanks for taking me again Legosi.." I watched her until she got into her dorm building and walked to mine. I reflected upon the day, the smells of the black market, the panda's questions and attacks. I suddenly thought of Y/N, and how she had to wait in the alley, wait- did something happen? I turned to look at her building, but I kept walking forward. I don't think anything happened to her. 

I woke up on Monday morning to Jack's face, and I groaned. "Legosi, come on! You have thirty minutes until you usually get breakfast with Y/N. I sighed, and got ready. I met Y/N outside of my dorm, "Legosi! Your late." I frowned, "Sorry. I woke up late, let's just go." She nodded, and we walked to the cafeteria. I went to get the carnivore breakfast, and Y/N did too, "One second Legosi, I'm gonna go get my lunch for later." I nodded, and watched her go to the shop. I waited for her before I ate. A few minutes later she walked over to me with two boxes.  She handed me the first box and smiled, "What's in here?" I looked inside and smiled, "You got my favorite!" She smiled back, "Well, I know how much you like your egg-salad sandwiches, so I wanted to get you some." We put our boxes into our backpacks and started eat our breakfast. We made friendly conversation as we did so. We both finished, and Y/N has to get to class. I walked my separate way and the bell rang.

Y/N POV

I walked to the meteorite festival with Legosi. We started working on our dinosaur there so we didn't have to move it. We were done with the structure, so now we had to paint it. Once we arrived I set down my bags, and we got right to work. I wanted to take a break, so I stopped painting the dinosaur's feet and walked over to a bench. I took out my water bottle from my bag and took a few sips. I saw Bill approaching me and I frowned. I never really liked him, but I didn't want to be rude. He smirked as he approached me, and I forced a small smile. "Hey, Y/N. How are you doing?" He sounded like he was trying really hard to be nice. "Uh, I'm fine, thanks."  He sat down next to me, rocking the bench. I let out a small yelp. "Oh, I'm sorry.. I'm just kinda heavy." I scooted away, "It's fine." He started sweating, "Hey uh Y/N I-I have a question.." I looked at him, "Yes?" He didn't make eye contact. 'W-When the meteor is done, do you.. want to light it with me?" I paused, what did he just say? "I-I, no Bill I'm sorry. I pat him on the shoulder and started walking away. He grabbed my wrist, "Hey, what are you doing?" I panicked, "Y/N, please just light it with me!" I started walking backwards when we came closer. "I-I let go!" I yelled, people were staring, so he let go. I was panting as I ran; what just happened? Why was he so aggressive? I walked back to our clubs dinosaur and sat down. I eventually starting painting again. I felt a large shadow fall over me, and I slowly looked above me, fearing Bill. "Legosi! What's up?" He looked furious. "What did Bill say to you? Why did he touch you?" His eyes were wide. "I-I he just asked if I could light the meteor with him." He came closer to me, I started sweating, "He what? What did you say?" I frowned, "No, obviously." He seemed to let out a sigh of relief. I started painting again, and Legosi walked away.

A few hours later I went to go use the bathroom. I finished, and washed my hands. I used an air-dryer so my fur was normal. When I walked out nobody was there. I sighed, and went back to grab my bag. They probably all went home. I shrugged and went to grab my backpack. I turned around and saw Legosi walking towards me. I smiled, "You didn't leave yet! Thanks for waiting." He smiled, "Let's take the train back." I nodded. We walked down the stairs into the subway station, and Legosi was acting stranger than normal. I went to look at him, and he was already looked at me. But, he started sweating and looked away, and awkward look on his face. I lifted one eyebrow, but shrugged it off. Legosi got stuck while we used our subway cards. I couldn't help but laugh. I wasn't laughing once we missed the train, I frowned. "I'm sorry Y/N it's because I couldn't find my card. I shrugged, and we sat on the bench. "Y/N I don't want to talking to Bill anymore." I looked at him, and he seemed nervous. I got kind of irritated, "Yeah, I wasn't planning to." I stood up, and he grabbed my wrist, "Promise me?" I huffed, and tried walking away, but I couldn't budge because of his grip. "Let go Legosi, I'm taking the other car." He frowned. "No! We still have things to talk about." I sighed, "No, we don't! Let go!" The train arrived as I said that. Neither of us noticed the doors opening. "Let go!" He frowned. "No!" People starting coming out of the train, and I heard gasps. "Are you harassing her?" Legosi let go, and put his hands in the air. "Hey wolf! What are you pulling?" A security guard came into the group, and I panicked. Thinking fast, I grabbed Legosi's hand, and started running. They chased after us. "W-What are you doing Y/N, it'll make things worse!" I shook my head. "They think I'm a herbivore, Legosi. If I didn't do anything, you'd surely get arrested! I panted, I was so tired. "Legosi! Take the lead, they'll catch us!" I saw him get a determined look on his face, and he moved ahead of me. He ran probably 5x faster, and we turned a corner, and into a bathroom. We ran into a stall, and climbed onto the toilet. I could hear his heavy breathing, and I covered my mouth. We heard shouting, and then it was quiet. We waited a few minutes, and I looked up at Legosi. "We should go now." I hopped off the toilet and unlocked the stall. 

We made our way off of the train, and walked out of the subway. I made casual conversation with Legosi as we walked through the school gate. I looked at the sky. I feel like, were better friends now. Experiences of trouble make people closer, right? I smiled, and turned to face him. "Legosi, thanks for bringing me back. It was nice, but chaotic." He smiled, "Anytime." I turned back around and walked through the door that lead to my dorm building.

cute chapter. this was one of my favorite events in the anime, so I'm glad I got to add my own spin to it. anyway, thanks for reading. I might update one more time tonight, idk yet. byee <3 :)
