Part 9: The Tragedy

Legosi POV

I groaned, painting this stupid dinosaur was taking forever. I stepped back and admired our work. It was almost done, and it looked pretty good. I saw Y/N painting the head of the dinosaur, I saw her paint the tips of the dinosaurs teeth in a crimson, blood-like color. The smells of meat and blood came back to me instantly. I shook it off, and stepped back to continue painting the dinosaur. About an hour later, I finished my work. And everyone else was finished too. Dom took the light switch, and flipped the 'on' switch. It lit up straight away. The whole dinosaur was illuminated in yellowish light. I saw Y/N walking over to me. She smiled, "It's really nice looking now that it's finished." I nodded. "It was cool before, but now it's even better." She stretched her arms into the air, and I looked down at her. "I'm gonna go look around, they have to have some food stands somewhere around here." I watched her as she walked away, the festival was the day after tommorow. I rubbed my face, would I tell her then? I heard footsteps, and turned around. Juno walked towards me. She smiled, "Hi Legosi." I nodded, "Hi Juno." She stared at the dinosaur, "It's really nice, you guys did a great job." I shrugged. "I guess, thanks." She turned her attention to the meteor. "Look, the meteor is finished." I looked in that direction, bored "Oh yeah, your right." She looked at me, her ears falling. "Hey Legosi, do you think tha-" She stopped as the power went out. I heard gasps, and a few screams. 

I ran back over to the drama-club's group of people. "Guys, don't worry! Us nocturnals will keep you safe." The word 'nocturnal' rang a bell in my mind. "Legosi, I'm not nocturnal, so my vision in the dark is horrible." I froze, she couldn't see a thing! "Guys, I have to run somewhere! I'll be right back." I ran away from the group, smelling the air for any sign of her. I picked up a wiff of her near a food stand, and I followed it. I had to get on all fours so I could get closer to the ground, and getting a stronger scent. I saw someone moving next to the trees. Y/N? but it wasn't her. This person was way too tall, and muscular. I saw his curved ears, and stripes. I saw a smaller figure come and hug him, and I grew infuritated. "Legosi! You came for me!" I felt relief at that, but the person, no, Bill stepped back. And ran back somewhere else. I walked over to Y/N and smiled, "Y/N! There you are, I'm so relieved." She stopped, "Wait, if your here, then who did I hug just now?" I shrugged, "I don't know, didn't see them." I didn't want to lie, but I think she was better off knowing she didn't just hug Bill. I knelt down, and put out my hand. "Here, grab my hand. It's not too far from you." She put her and out, and grabbed mine. I could see her smile in the dark, and the lights turned back on. She gasped, "There! Back to normal." She let go of my hand, and a small part of me got sad. I held out a hankerchief for her to take. "Here, use this. your uniform got dirty." She smiled, and wiped the dirt off of her skirt. She yawned, and I didn't miss the way she smiled as she did so. She patted my shoulder, she could reach easily since I was crouched down. "C'mon Legosi, let's go back to the group. I think were taking the bus back as a group." I walked next to her as she approached the group and waved. I looked around and saw Juno next to the spot we had just been at. She looked sad, like something bad had just happened. I shrugged, and kept walking towards the group.

Y/N POV

I hopped off of the bus, Legosi right behind me. He walked me the short distance to my dorm building, and we said our goodbyes. I felt eyes while I walked inside, but I shook it off.  I took the elevator to my floor and sighed as I walked into my dorm. I slipped out of my uniform and plopped onto my bed. I stuck my fluffy hands into the air and stared at my claws. They were painted right now. It was a light pink. I shrugged, and grabbed Legosi's sweatshirt. It was one of my favorite things to wear lately. I don't know why, but I thought about him so much lately. Wherever I was, he was in my thoughts. I slipped on his sweatshirt and smelt it, I smiled when it reminded me of him. But then I stopped and questioned myself. Why did I think of him so much? Why did I- why did I feel like this about him? I rubbed my face, and shook my head. I turned off my light, and slipped under my blanket. I yawned, and my eyes fluttered shut. Thoughts of Legosi passed through my head as I drifted off to sleep. I stirred in my deep slumber. Some knocking on my door woke me up. I groaned, but got up anyway. I lazily walked over to the door, almost knocking over one of my floor plants. I groggily opened the door, leaning on its edge. I narrowed my eyes, I couldn't tell who it was. I let go of the door, and fell into the person at my door, and they caught me. I inhaled, and smelled Legosi. "Huh? Legosiii is that youuu?" He straightened me up, "Y/N? Are you alright? Why are you falling over so much?" I regained my senses at his words. I rubbed my face and moved out of the way so he could come in. "Sorry Legosi, I do that sometimes when I'm tired." He went over and sat on my couch. I grabbed my uniform and walked into the bathroom. Before I closed the door I told Legosi I'd be back in a little bit. I slipped off his sweatshirt and changed my underwear and bra. I slipped on my uniform and tightened my belt. I spritzed on my perfume and was about to open the door when, I grabbed Legosi's sweatshirt. I smelt it, and I could barely smell Legosi on it. I frowned, it probably smelt like me. I threw my other clothes into the laundry basket and brought out Legosi's sweatshirt with me. I grinned, "Legosi! Here's your sweatshirt back." He smiled as I threw it towards him. I saw him smell it, and he raised an eyebrow. I laughed, "Sorry, it probably reeks of me." He shook is head, "No, I kind of like it." I turned away as I blushed slightly. I cleared my throat and grabbed my bag. "Well, I'm ready. Let's go." 

I met up with Legosi before we went to the festival. I was about to get on the bus, when I saw him walking to me. I waved, and he made his way towards me. I walked onto the bus, and jumped onto a seat. I looked around and saw most of drama club, we were leaving in 5 minutes. Legosi sat down next to me, and he put his backpack on the floor. Whenever we sat together I always got the window seat. When we got to the festival's grounds the sky was a clear azure blue. I hopped out of my seat and followed Legosi off of the bus. when I was about to go down the stairs I tripped, and landed on top of Legosi. He staggered back and fell. I sat up, feeling my head. "Ouch, I'm sorry Legosi. I've been really clumsy today." He was staring at the sky, his eyes wide. "I-uh, yeah it's fine. Sorry." I stretched out both of my hands so I could help him up, but he was way too tall, I almost fell over a second time. Legosi and I spent most of the afternoon together. Chatting, visiting stalls, and getting  small snacks. I sat on a brick ledge, and Legosi stood infront of me. I smiled, and he looked even more nervous. He exhaled, "Hey Y/N, there's something I wanted to tell you." I didn't say anything, and he continued. "I-I think that,-" He stopped. I heard someone yelling, "Hey Legosi! Can you come help over here?" He looked discouraged and waved goodbye at me. He slowly walked away, his ears down. I shrugged, and walked off of the path, into a small forest. I leaned against a tree, looking at the ocean. I inhaled, the smell of water refreshing. I heard footsteps on the concrete path, but I shrugged it off. It was probably a student. I felt hands grab my waist, and I panicked. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAA-" I started screaming but they covered my mouth, I kicked their shins and they let go. I tried to run, "LEGOS-" They grabbed me again, and a sack was thrown over my head. I felt a stong impact swing against my head, and everything went black. Legosi, help me..
