Part 7: Into The City

Legosi POV

I sat next to Y/N in the drama club building. We just found out that we were going into the city. Y/N looked over at me and smiled, "I'm excited! I haven't been into the city for a few months!" I looked down at her, "Me either..." Drama club was dismissed, and I walked next to Y/N. She sighed, "Legosi, I would have dinner wth you, but I'm not hungry, and I want to get extra sleep for the city tommorow!" My ears drooped, I wanted to talk with her longer. I was so attached to her, I couldn't get enough. "I-I'll walk you back to your dorm." She smiled, "That would be great! Let's go." I watched her as we walked back. I noticed every detail. Her fur rustling in the wind, her breathing patterns, the way she watched the sky with a wistful look in her eyes. We finally arrived at her dorm building. She gave me a smile, the wind blowing through her fur. "Bye Legosi! See you tommorow, were gonna have fun!" She turned and walked into her dorm building. The sun was still up, but it was setting. I stared into the horizon, and my ears drooped. I want to talk to her more. I sighed, and made my way to my dorm building, my back slouched. I guess I'll see her tommorow.

Y/N POV

I arrived into my dorm. It was Friday. I took off my belt and slipped out of my uniform. I took a big sweatshirt I borrowed from Legosi, and slipped it on. We had gone to the school cafe together a few times, and we weren't wearing our uniforms. It started raining, so Legosi let me use his sweatshirt. I moved the fabric close to my nose. I smelt Legosi on it, and I smiled. Everything that reminded me of him made me happy, but I could never figure out why. I didn't question it though. It was a good thing. I looked in the mirror, the sweatshirt reached the middle of my thighs, so I didn't bother putting on anything else. I was suprisingly tired, and I just slipped into bed. I rubbed my face and yawned. I moved my knees to my chest, and my eyes fluttered shut. I drifted off to sleep.

"Y/N, Y/N!" I heard someone calling my name. I didn't want to wake up. I reached out my arms, and grabbed hold of something. I pulled it close, and kept sleeping. I heard my name being called again, but I didn't care. I smelt something, it was really familiar. Legosi I realized. My eyes fluttered open after noticing his scent. "Mm.. Hello?" I rubbed my eyes, and looked at the thing I was holding. "Huh..Legosi? Why are you in my bed?" He was sweating bullets, "I-I was waiting f-for you to wake u-up, but y-you didn't so I-I got worried and tried to wake y-you up myself but y-you didn't a-and just grabbed m-me." I frowned, trying to remember. "Oh, I'm sorry Legosi." I let go and he jumped out of my arms very quickly. I got out of bed, and pulled the sweatshirt down, my underwear was showing, but I don't think Legosi saw. He was staring at me for a moment, and he narrowed his eyes. "What? Oh, yeah this sweatshirt is yours, I'll give it back, sorry." He shook his head, "It's not that, I just noticed your tail was fluffier and longer than any I've seen. I turned my head to look at my tail. "Oh, I guess your right. Well, I need to get changed, you can wait on the couch." I walked over to my closet and picked out light-blue ripped jeans, and a white spaghetti strapped tank top. I walked into my bathroom and changed. I walked out and yawned. It was Saturday, so I didn't bother getting my school bag. I got my small leather backpack and opened the door. I looked at Legosi. "Let's go get the others, I'm ready." 

Legosi POV 

I walked into Y/N's dorm. She was sleeping in her bed. I waited on the couch for a few minutes waiting for her. I was getting kind of impatient, so I went over to her bed and tried to wake her up. "Y/N, Y/N." She stirred in her sleep, and grabbed my waist. I froze, and she pulled me onto her bed. I was sweating bullets. I felt her springy chest pressed against my back, and I sweat even more. "Y/N, Y/N!" She opened her eyes, everything after that was a blur. I felt her breath on my neck and shivered. She let go of me and I jumped out of her bed. I was panting, I heard something about sitting on the couch, so I just stayed there for a while. My tail was shot in the air the whole time, I heard her open the door and say that she was ready to go. 

We walked into the drama club building, only the carnivores were going, so we met up with Bill, Aoba, and Tao. We left and took the bus to the city. Y/N sat next to me, and we chatted happily the whole way there. We made our way to the city center, I didn't like getting out, but it definitely a sight to behold. Y/N went behind me and giggled, "Legosi, your tail is wagging, thought you said you didn't like the city?" She gave me a close-eyed smile, and we kept walking. We went into a fast food restaraunt for lunch. Y/N got fries and salad, and the rest of us  got veggie burgers and fries. Bill complained about his sex life, and Y/N looked unsettled as he said it. He hit my shoulder, and asked me when I'd lose my virginity, and that I reek of virgin. How did he know? Everyone laughed, and my ears drooped, I looked over at Y/N, but she wasn't laughing, she looked irritated. We paid and left. The sun was already setting, and it was nice outside. We eventually got lost looking for the train station. "Aoba? Aren't you using Zoozle Maps? Where are we going now? Y/N whined. "It says up these stairs." We walked up, and saw a truck. An old man was sitting on the floor, "Hey Legosi, go ask for directions." I didn't want to say no to Y/N, so I went over to him and crouched on the ground. "Excuse me, can I ask you a question?" He moved his head up slowly, but moved his hands infront of my face with unnatural speed. "Yes my boy..Just pick a finger, if your gotta bite it off..do it quick." I smelt the air around his fingers, it reeked with blood and sweat. I got up quickly and turned around, Y/N's eyes were wide with horror. The truck at the front drove away, and a lit up market was showing. It smelt like blood and meat. Y/N yelped. 

Y/N POV

The truck drove away, and a lit up market that smelt like blood and meat was exposed. I was standing next to the old man, and Bill pushed me out of the way, I staggered back, almost falling on the floor. Legosi growled. "Hey gramps, if I pay 70 grand I can eat that finger?" He grinned, "We can all split the cost!" I drew back in disgust. Legosi slapped Bill across the face. "How dare you? This isn't legal!" He threw his arms up into the air. "Legosi, I'd be on your side if we were at school, but this is different.." He growled, and grabbed my hand. "Is this what it means to be an adult?" He started running through the black market, dragging me with with him. He ran the length of the whole thing, he hit the wall at the end, and collapsed on the floor. I panted. I went on my knees to comfort him. "Legosi? What's wrong? I know it's gross, but it'll be okay. Let's just take a train home." I heard heavy footsteps approaching, and I crawled closer to Legosi, grabbing his hand. A burly panda came over to us, and said something about Legosi, my senses were crowded with the smell of meat and blood, I couldn't hear anything but ringing. He picked Legosi up, and I followed him. "Legosi!" He walked inside a concrete building, and told me to wait outside. 

I waited for what felt like hours. I eventually started tearing up at some point, what was happening to Legosi? He walked out the door with a magazine in his hand, I saw a white, fluffy animal on it with pointed ears. Legosi growled, and threw the magazine through the door and grabbed my hand. He started running. "Legosi, what happened? Are you okay?" He turned around and I saw his black eye. I gasped. "I-I'm fine, let's just go back to school." We ran all the way to the subway station, and Aoba was waiting there outside. Ringing filled my ears and I closed my eyes, they were tearing up. I opened them and saw Legosi crying while he ws looking at Aoba. I frowned and stood on the tips of my toes. I put my hand on his shoulder, "It's okay Legosi, you'll be fine." He stopped crying, and gave me a small smile. I smiled back. We walked into the subway and made our way back. I was unusually tired, and I rest my head on his shoulder. The next thing I knew we had arrived. I rubbed my eyes, and walked out behind Legosi. I frowned, and looked at my hands. The smells of the black market coming to me. I looked back at Legosi, his smiling face nothing like the drooling, panting one I saw in the alley-way. What happened to you? I shook it off and walked through the school's gate.
