-Florence-
I don't need to guess how many hours he slept last night, as I wake up, feeling his arms still tensed up around me. I look up to find a worried look on his face, so lost in thought he probably hasn't noticed I'm awake yet. I pull myself up to kiss him, breaking his train of thought.
"What's going on love?" I ask, already quite sure which response will follow. His eyes narrow again, deep in thought, he clears his throat before he speaks softly, as if he's telling me something he doesn't actually want to be said out loud.
"I'm so worried it makes me sick to my stomach." There's a pained expression on his face, his demeanor tells me he has been over all kinds of plans in his head, not able to let go of what happened last night. I stroke my hand along his cheek, turning his face to look at me.
"We will be fine love, if at any point you want me to go back to Dauntless, tell me and I'll do it." I try to reassure him, hoping he wants to keep me around more than he wants me to return to HQ.He takes a while to answer, looking at me absentmindedly, his eyes tracing along my features as if he was trying to commit them to memory. When his eyes fix on mine again, his will to keep me around seems to have won. "I want you to stay so bad." He kisses me softly, pulling me close before letting out a deep sigh. "We'll see how it goes today, if by the end of the day things still feel this wrong, we'll have to think of another plan."
"Okay." I nod my head softly in agreement, placing a kiss on his cheek, hoping today will go off without a hitch. When we finish eating our breakfast, which consisted of the amazing fresh fruits Johanna had delivered to us yesterday, we take off for the fence. Eric's arm is almost glued around my waist the whole way there, keeping me so close it almost hurts, but I let him. I understand.
It's not hard to notice he's scanning the forests, looking for any sign of Aaron, hardly noticing how tightly he is holding me.I can't honestly say I'm not a bit scared at the moment. I know Aaron, he's capable of disgusting and vile things, which are still so evident in my memories of him. Even though I know Eric will keep me safe at all costs, I wonder how far Aaron is willing to go to get to me. The thought sends a shiver through me, leaving a cold feeling in my heart. I'm relieved to see the fence appear in front of us when we come out of the forest, at least now we're among more Dauntless. Even though not all of them are behaving properly, we're still the fighting faction and to that effect, the more the merrier when it comes to creating a barrier between Aaron and me.
The group of members going through reboot training with Eric is already in formation in front of the barracks, waiting for orders. He let's out a deep sigh at the sight of them, obviously not very motivated to whip them back into shape right now. His hand hasn't left my waist yet as I see Travis waiting for me with a cup of coffee in front of the building we'll be doing our training in. It's small and weathered, almost like a garage, but with windows all around, which will probably be much to Eric's advantage. I look up at him to say goodbye, but the look on his face is still very unsure, darting back and forth from me to Travis and back to the building we'll be in.
"Love, you'll have to let me go at some point today." I smile and see him soften a bit, but the worry doesn't leave his face. "I know." He says grudgingly, still not loosening his grip on me. "I'll be fine, I'll be right there all day, you can even come and look in when you're worried." I try to reason with him, but still to no avail. Travis seems to pick up on the unusual situation in front of him and starts to walk toward us slowly, probably misreading the whole thing. I look up to Eric again, pleading this time. "Love, please let go, I will be safe. If at the end of the day you still feel like this, I'll go back to HQ, I promise."
