Scenario:

Kiku was in love with her best friend. She had been for years.

Everyone assumed he loved her too, they were always closer than two friends should be.

Though everyone felt proven wrong when Slade ended up dating a girl Kiku couldn't stand, and couldn't stand Kiku.

Heather seemed to love the fact that Slade had chose her. After all, Kiku had done so much for him, but he still chose her. It also pleased her that both Slade and his father were successful. It improved her reputation and gave her better career opportunities.

Kiku of course was upset. She constant tried to get Slade's attention despite him being with Heather. She just wanted her best friend back, she didn't care if he was just a friend or not. She just missed him being around.

Though one day, when Heather ended up getting Slade's attention when he was supposed to finally hang out with Kiku with the offer of sex, Kiku just broke down in front of the two.

The abilities she had; primarily her telekinesis, or more of Psychokinesis at that point, exploded with her explosive burst of emotion. She had been holding everything in to make Slade happy, but she just couldn't anymore.

With that burst of emotion, came an overuse of the ability. The main thing on her mind had been trying to get Slade to see how much she loved him, and because she couldn't do that despite the abilities she had, she strained herself far too hard and collapsed, coughing, a bit of blood dripping down her chin.

Despite all the pain she was on from straining her body to use an ability she hated because it was both a mental and physical strain, only one thing was on her mind. How much she wished she could pacify the girl who took away the /one/ person that promised he'd never leave.

Why did people make promises? All they did was break them anyway.
