Modern Fairytale AU; similar to Shrek.

Scenario:

There was a young Prince born to the King of Demons and a human woman.

Though the woman wasn't as she seemed. When Slade was around 14 and his father wasn't around due to his Kingly duties, the young man was manipulated into a sexual relationship with the woman, not understanding it was wrong.

When he found out the truth at age 16, he immediately told his father. His Mother was to be put to death, but Slade telling resulted in the young man being cursed. By day he'd be normal, by night he'd turn into a wolf-demon hybrid.

The only way the curse would be broken, wasn't by true loves first kiss, but by finding someone who could love him as both of him selves.

Jude kept Slade locked in a tower with protection knowing many would try to hurt his son. He regularly visited his son. He was constantly trying to find his son's true love so he could have his son saved before too much of his young life was taken away. Only his true love would be able to help him escape the tower.

Now not everything went to plan.

A young woman who was in search of a plant that would heal her brother's pregnant wife who had grown sick in her pregnancy, found the plant at the castle where the now young man resided.

The girl chose to investigate this, and this lead to the girl finding this man. He seemed to be asleep, but she noticed a look of pain and sadness on his face.

The girl leaned down and kissed his forehead gently, before gently grabbing his hand, squeezing it.

Her features and clothing were covered by a hood and cloak she was wearing.

"Mister... You seem so sad here, please take my hand and come with me."

It wasn't a hallucination. His supposed 'true love' was beside his bed, attempting to offer him a place to stay.
