Scenario:

The two had loved each other for years, but after moving to live with his father, Slade changed. He wasn't the same.

Slade had a taste of what he never had whilst living with his Mother. A loving; albeit strict, father, money, and stability.

He wanted to keep this stability, so he followed what his father wanted. He didn't want to lose what he hadn't had before. He didn't want to lose the luxuries he had.

Now when Slade was asked by his father to date a girl he thought would benefit his company and give Slade a good name, he agreed.

Though there was an issue. He was already dating his childhood sweetheart.

When he told her, she was upset, but when he reassured her it was primarily business and that nothing serious would happen, she hesitantly agreed. As long as Slade was happy that was the primary matter of importance to her.

Now, at first, it seemed Slade was keeping his promise, but over time, he began to slowly break it. He was supposed to be in a relationship with this girl, not Kiku, his once loved Kitten was his dirty little secret that could ruin everything he finally had.

Now, the days he was supposed to see his once beloved grew longer. Making love to his new girlfriend, taking her shopping, and telling her he loved her.

Then he'd go to see his little secret. He'd tell her she was special and spend some time with her.

The girl refused to aacknowledge the signs at first, but she realized she couldn't keep on believing he was keeping his promise.

The lipstick stains on his shirt. The hickies. The smell of sweat mixed with a perfume she didn't wear.

It hurt.

What hurt worse was when she found out Slade was engaged to the new woman.

Wasn't it supposed to end before this point? She thought it was. No, it was. She wasn't supposed to be a dirty secret.

When she got in a fight with a Slade over this, she realized she had been made a pawn and had been manipulated. She was hurt by the end of the fight, yet Slade still expected her on her knees for him. When she refused, she was shoved out of the way as he left.

Now, when Kiku realized she wasn't going to be invited to the wedding herself, she managed to get herself in.

She went to Jude. She offered to be his date since she knew the man and had worked for him as a secretary before she and Slade dated.

Though when the girl ended up talking to Jude before the ceremony, she spoke to him rather seriously.

"Tell me Sir, I'd like to know, if you love someone and claim they're special, would you keep them secret to live a life of luxury? Would you break every promise you made to them and turn them into your pet so they don't realize they're being used? Tell me, if someone did that, how would you feel about them?"

It was such an odd question, but upon noticing the girl was shaking and had tears streaming down her cheeks, it's obvious she needs an honest answer.
