AU; Psycho(Movie) based AU.

*Slade doesn't have to dress as Lyra, or anything like that, but the scenario based off how there's a rather similar archetype between Slade and Norman in the sense of both having extremely unhealthy and odd relationships with their Mother. He also doesn't have to have a split personality or kill Kiku-*

AU; Slade didn't know Kiku growing up. Nor did he know any of their friend group. All he ever had was his Mother.

His Mother was overbearing and her relationship with Slade was anything but normal or healthy. They were far too close to be a normal Mother and Son.

One day, after discovering Lyra in bed with a lover, Slade kills them both, but forges a note, making it look like a suicide and murder committed by his Mother.

After this, he begins to man the motels be and his Mother had began running after her new lover had convinced her it was a good idea.

No one realizes the corpse of his Mother still remains in the house that was connected to a trail that lead to the motel ran.

The motel wasn't near the main highway, so he got very little business, that was until one day, a girl came to stay the night.

Scenario:

Kiku Callinger ended up at Smith's Motel. It was a cozy looking array of rooms, but she never meant to end up there. It was more of am accident if anything.

After she ended up fired by her boss after being accused of stealing a large sum of money; which she didn't, she left town in fear, wanting to evade the police in case her boss planned to have her arrested for a crime she didn't commit.

She traded in her car, and drove for the night. She ended up veering off the main road.

Tired, and unable to keep driving, she found herself at a little cozy motel. She decided to stay the night.

Though when she met the man running the motel, she found out he ran it all alone. Save for his Mother who he claimed was mentally incompetent and didn't give much help.

Kiku suggested she be put in a nursing home or institution to get proper help.

This lead to the man seemingly snapping, before he simply said, we all go a little mad sometimes.

Feeling disturbed, the girl asked if she could get her room so she could shower then rest for the night.

Slade took her to her room, though all wasn't as it seemed.

The girl undressed for her shower, and got in, though she didn't realize she was being watched through a peephole.

Though when she pulled back the shower curtain and stepped out, wrapping a towel around herself, she felt an odd sense.

She got dressed in a night shirt and headed to her room, only to discover...
