Chapter Thirty~Time Stone Struggle

I walk past the boys and exit the Sanctum through the front door and scan the chaotic surroundings, people running and screaming in alarm, the traffic becoming impossibly tangled, a glitter-filled wind. 

The boys walk out behind me and see what happens. Tony puts on his sunglasses "F.R.I.D.A.Y., what am I looking at?"

"Not sure, I'm working on it," she answers.

"Hey! You might wanna put that Time Stone in your back pocket, Doc! Spirit stay inside!" Stephen's hands of spells are readied around his forearms "Might wanna use it."

I take a breath and stand by Tony "Stay inside my ass I'm helping." A mechanical hum grows louder as we approach the intersection. As we turn the corner, he sees a huge circular ship floating over Bleecker Street. "F.R.I.D.A.Y., evac anyone south of 43rd Street, notify first responders," says Tony.

Stephen throws out a spell over Bleeker Street. The dust clears. Then Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian exit the ship by transmat. My eyes widen and I gasp "There here already?" I start.

Maw holds out his hands "Hear me, and rejoice. You are about to die at the hands of the Children of Thanos. Be thankful, that your meaningless lives are now contributing to..."

"I'm sorry, Earth is closed today. You better pack it up and get outta here." says Tony. Maw looks to Stephen "Stonekeeper...Does this chattering animal speak for you?"

"Certainly not. I speak for myself. But you're trespassing in this city and on this planet." says Stephen magical shields are readied with his fists, stepping forward. Wong emulates him. "It means get lost, Squidward!" shouts Tony.

"Shut up." I whisper. This was going to get very very ugly. Obsidian, the alien that was almost Hulk like drops his hammer preparing to fight. "Banner, you want a piece?" ask Tony.

"No, not really, but when do I ever get what I want?"

"That's right."

Bruce attempts to release the Hulk. Instead of Hulk coming out easily, the most that turn green is Bruce's neck. "Been a while. Good to have you, buddy." says Tony.

"I just... I need to concentrate here for one second. Come on, come on, man."

Oh shit "Where's your guy?" I ask.

"I don't know. We've sort been havin' a thing."

"There's no time for a thing. That's the thing right there. Let's go." says Tony as Obsidian approaches. Bruce gives out a loud grunt but fails to release the Hulk. Stephen stares at Tony and Bruce in disbelief.

"Dude, you're embarrassing me in front of the wizards." says Tony.

"No it's not Bruce." I say. Bruce sighs panting "Either I can't or he won't--"

Tony pats his back "It's okay. Hey, stand down. Keep an eye on him. Thank you." he says to Wong. As Obsidian approaches the team, Tony dons his nanotech Iron Man suit in the space of three steps. He grows a shield on one arm to protect himself, then grows a set of blasters that easily throw the Dwarf back to Maw, who gestures and deflects his massive companion into some cars.

I whistle at the suit, Tony nods "It's nano-tech. You like it? A little someth--"

 Maw creates a spike of the earth that throws Tony far up and attacks the rest of us with uprooted trees and other debris. I create a shield blocking us "Gotta get that stone outta here, now." says Loki to Stephen.

"It stays with me."

"For once we agree Loki. Exactly. Bye." says Tony who flies through Maw's obstacle course but is cut short by Obsidian's hammer, sending him through a building and into the park at high speed, plowing into the ground and fetching up against a tree.

"TONY!!!" I shout and begin to run after him "Illisha!" shout Loki, Obsidian arrives at the park and throws his hammer at Bruce and Iron Man. I hold out my hand making a shield that the hammer bounces off of.

Then Tony's energy beam deflects off Obsidian's shield, slicing down trees. Bruce barely evades one. I hold myself up barely, holding my stomach, I needed to be more careful. Loki dashes over and helps me up "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine!"

Tony is knocked down by Obsidian, who is about to deliver a decisive blow, but the alien's hammer is easily caught by Spider-Man. Peter... "Hey, man. What's up, Mr. Stark?" he asks. Obsidian grabs Spider-Man and throws him away.

I run over to Tony and kneel down next to him "Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine, F.R.I.D.A.Y. get me the Soul-Spirit." says Tony, I look at him confused, "You said you wanted to fight you're not doing it in a Steinfeld T-shirt," he says. Loki rushes and looks me over "Are you okay? Alright?!"

Tony rolls his eyes "Dipshit she's fine!" he shouted standing up "What did you call me?" asked Loki stepping forward. I step between them "Will you both cut this crap out!" 

Just then a cone of blue light beams down to earth and starts pulling the mage inexorably upwards. We also see Peter grab a light pole to anchor himself, but Maw uproots it, sending Stephen, Cloak, and teenager on their way to his ship.

"PETER!!!" I scream and begin to run over. Obsidian's hammer doubles as a claw, he goes to strike Tony. I throw my hands out to create a shield over him blasting Obsidian back. I crumple to the ground of breath. Just then a portal opens Obsidian falls in and the portal closes cutting off it hand.

I turn to see Wong was the one who did it "Wong, you're invited to my wedding." says Tony, he gives me a look before looking at the ship. No, don't tell he was going. "I'm sorry," he says and begins to fly towards the large ship.

How do I get up there? I need to help them! I hear a whooshing sound and turn to see a capsule. It was heading straight towards me! I put my hands in front of my face as if that was going to help.

But all I feel is crawling over my skin, I look down to see a suit! It was the suit Tony called!

A mask was even on my face screens pop up and I flinch, it's been a long time since I've worn one of these "Welcome back Ms.Stark."

"F.R.I.D.A.Y?" I ask.

"Ms. Stark I am detecting you but another lifeform as well?"

"Um yeah, I'm pregnant." I say, trying to figure out what to do "The time rate on your baby seems to be going at an unnatural speed, would you like me to monitor?" she asks "Um...Sure that'll make me feel better." I say honestly.

Wait I'm in a suit what am I doing I can fucking fly! I click my heels together and begin to hover "Illisha?" ask Loki, I turn to him "I have to save Tony." I say and blast off towards the ship as I approach, I change the mass of my body and slip right inside. 

I hide up in the mass of mechanics and look down. Maw, hands engaged in the ship's steering mechanism, accelerates into hyperspace. I was gonna be a long way from home, but what is Tony needed me.

We can easily pilot this thing back, I know it! I put a hand on my stomach "It's okay baby, we're gonna grab your Uncle Tony then head back home to daddy."
