Chapter Thirty Five~Deal With A Devil

I stop out of breath and bend over in pain, this baby was kicking like crazy. I could hear the grunts and shouts of a battle, even saw them crushed with a moon.

Tony.

Loki.

Peter.

Even our new friends.

Stephen.

Quill.

Mantis.

Drax.

Nebula.

I was running. 

I was afraid.

I got really scared when the noise stopped, we were winning. I don't think it mattered, the only thing that did was that Thanos didn't win.

As long as Thanos doesn't get all the stones there's a chance most will make it out.

I nod thinking, most will make it, as long as he doesn't get the stones "And he's not going to." I turn around and start running back towards the now quiet battle. I hide behind a rock and see Stephen reaches up and plucks the Time Stone out of its hiding place in the stars. He opens his hand, the scars on his fingers and their inherent trembling particularly obvious now, and the Stone floats to Thanos' bare hand who takes the Stone and drops it into the thumb setting, the energy pulse making the Titan wince.

I cover my mouth and look down to see one of Loki's daggers, I pick it up and see to my left was a cliff with a long drop

"Two to go. Now tell me where the girl." 

I go and stand on the edge of the cliff with the dagger held to my heart "Right here." I say, Tony and Stephen, well everyone around looks at me in shock. Thanos begins to walk towards me "What are you doing?"

"We both know that the stone is in me, specifically in my bloodstream. I die, bloodstream gets cut off, the stone goes with me and gets destroyed." I threaten. Thanos steps closer "You are smart Illisha."

How did he? He knows my name? 

"You want to protect what you have," states Thanos.

How? I did.

"What about a deal?" he says standing face to face with me "A deal with the devil?" I start "Don't do it Illisha!!!" shouts Tony standing, the other stand as well and begin running in. Thanos raises his hand and with a green glow, everyone freezes. What? What happened? 

I look around confused and cautiously look at Thanos "I won't hurt you, you have something I want." he says. I step down and look at every one. Tony. I walk over and look at him with a fearful look.

Peter. I look over at him and his worried face.

Loki. I go over and hold a hand to his cheek, his eyes were pleading, begging. Most would survive. They would. "What about a deal?" repeated Thanos.

I turn to him and begin to lower the knife "I have terms."

"Of course you do, someone like you."

"What do you mean someone like me?"

Thanos raises his hand a red glow comes over and all around us pictures and scenes from my life circle "You were just a girl who felt nothing would ever happen. But when we expect nothing, we always seem to be disappointed. On the run, alone, so where did that lead you, Killian? Ivan? But I should thank you for Ultron."

My body seems to melt and freeze at the same time "Of course someone like you has what they want to protect because I think you know you and your friends won't win."
