Okay you know over the course of a week things can really go to hell.

Tony thinks Peter jumped the gun when the whole ferry incident happened and the bad guys got away to and then Tony took his suit. I had a phone call with Peter the day after who was actually a little happy that for a little bit he could go to homecoming.

Lucky him tonight I have to help Happy pack up a jet and move it out tonight. Tony and I were moving out in two days, we need to finalize somethings. I push one of the crates into the back and walk back down the ramp "Takeoff in nine minutes!" I shout to Happy.

I look and see he's on the phone "Hello? Hello? Who is this?" asked Happy. I walk over closer to hear who it was "Uh... Mr. Happy, it's Ned."

"Who?"

"I'm an associate of Peter Parker. Got something very important to tell you-"

"You gotta be shitting me." and Happy hangs up, I walk over like nothing was wrong "Happy? Everything okay?" I ask, he nods "Yeah just some kid named Ned that's all."

I nod walking out of the hanger switching to a jog once out of sight. Ned was Peter's best friend and it seemed pretty urgent which meant something was wrong. I quickly run into my room and sit down at my computer putting an earpiece in.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y. call Peter."

After a couple of rings, I go through for my ears to be meet with blaring noises of wind whipping by "Peter? Peter!"

"Ms. Illisha?"

"Yeah, it's me Ned tried calling Happy after we loaded up the plane."

"About that, you remember the guy I told you about they want the stuff on the plane, there trying to rob it," says Peter, that makes a lot of sense, wait.

"Wait, Peter how do you know?"

"Well, I may or may not be hanging onto the plane."

My eye widen "Peter! Okay, I'm hacking into video footage right now." when I do there are a couple of cameras one being the cockpit and another showing the storage hold. The strange thing was the a purple square and a man in a mask climbing out of it.

He walked to the cockpit and connects a device to the plane "Peter be careful." I see the wings in the square shift slightly as the man finds the boxes and takes off his mask.

Peter kicks the man's wingsuit and pushes it aside a bit. The air pressure inside the cabin drops, activating the alarm. The man checks an external monitor and realizes that Peter has followed him.

The man comes out and puts on his wingsuit kicking Peter out. I didn't have visual anymore, I couldn't help Peter other than talk to him "Just a typical homecoming on the outside of an invisible jet... Fighting my girlfriend's dad." says Peter.

"Peter I can't see you before you end up over the bay land the plane," I instruct.

"Huh easy enough, for you to say you're not here. I don't know If I can do that," says Peter there's some shouting and metal clashing for a little while until I can speak again "I know you can. look at me, I'm a girl who spent most of her life trying to do what you already do. I could have a thousand in a million other kids than you so they could learn to be heroes but I didn't you know why. Because Peter you didn't wait to learn to be a hero, you already are."

I believed in Peter that he could do this, but the sounds that came to my ears scared me so much and I couldn't do anything. "Illisha!" shout Happy running in, I turn to him and he motions for me to come with him quickly.

I stand and we run to the living room only to see the plane, on fire, flying straight at Coney Island. Happy and I watch as it crash-lands on the beach of Coney Island. Everything is consumed in smoke and flames.

I put my hands over my mouth to attempt to muffle my cries "Peter....."

Happy gets a text and looks from it to the beach "The guys found this at the crash." he says and shows me a video. They found the man who tried to rob the plane tied to a pile of crates with spiderweb. A note is attached beside him: "FOUND FLYING VULTURE GUY. SPIDER-MAN. P.S. SORRY ABOUT YOUR PLANE."

Tony and I were finally moved into the compound. Tony taps me on my shoulder and I look up from my book "He's here?" I ask, Tony nods. We both stand and try to look presentable.

We see Peter and Happy walk-in together marveling at the facility "Oh, there they are. How was the ride up?" I ask. "Good." says Happy, Tony nods "Give us a minute with the kid."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. We gotta talk to the kid."

"I'll be close behind."

"How about a loose follow? All right? Boundaries are good." says Tony taking Peter's shoulders as we begin to walk "Sorry I took your suit. I mean, you had it coming. Actually, it turns out it was the perfect sort of tough-love moment that you needed, right? To urge you on, right? Wouldn't you think? Don't you think?" asked Tony. I roll my eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, I guess." says Peter a little nervous, I smile "Sure we'll say it was," I say.

Peter looks to us "Mr. Stark and Ms. Illisha, I really-"

Tony cuts him off "You screwed the pooch hard. Big time."

"But then you did the right thing." I cut in putting a hand on Peter's shoulder. Looking at Tony, he nods "I was wrong about you. We think, with a little more mentoring, you could be a real asset to the team." says Tony.

"To the... To the team?" asked Peter surprised.

Tony points to the door up ahead "Yeah. Anyway... There are about fifty reporters behind that door. Real ones, not bloggers." he says as I press a couple of buttons on the wall, a secret compartment opens revealing a brand new Spider-Man suit, the Iron Spider Armor.

"Tried my best with the time limit, hope you like it," I say a little sadly, I know Peter wants to be an Avenger, but I don't want him to make the same mistake I did.

"When you're ready... Why don't you try that on? And I'll introduce the world to the newest official member of the Avengers: Spider-Man. Yeah. Give that a look. So, after the press conference, Happy will show you to your room, your new quarters. Where's he between? He's next to Vision? You'll fit right in." says Tony.

Peter turns back and looks at us, one sibling excited to see the new Avenger and the other proud but worried about there choice. Peter looks at me concerned "It's your choice, Peter." I say.

Peter hesitates for a moment "Thank you. But I'm good."

I look up at this "You're good? Good? How are you good?" asked Tony. "Well, I mean, I'm... I'd rather just stay on the ground for a little while. Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Somebody's got to look out for the little guy, right?" asked Peter.

Tony takes off his sunglasses and I smile "You turning us down? You better think about this. Look at that. Look at me. Last chance, yes or no?" asked Tony.

"No," says Peter confident. "Okay. It's kind of a Springsteen-y, working-class hero vibe that I dig. Uh, Happy will take you home. Yeah?" asked Tony, Happy nods, god Pepper was not going to like this and I was not going to in the room when that happened "I'll take Peter to the car, Tony." I say.

The two of us begin our walk outside, I put an arm around Peter's shoulder "I'm really proud of you Peter." I say, he looks at me a little confused "I thought you wanted me to be an Avenger."

"Of course I want you to be an Avenger, but you are still young, you were able to the choice I wasn't able to make Peter," I say as we approach the car "What would that be?" he asked "The choice of education, Peter when I screwed big time with my power it took me years to gain that lost time and graduate, we may not be normal, we may want to be normal, but there's always a good balance. So promise me something?" I ask.

"Sure anything."

I smile at him "Promise me you'll finish school no matter what, I made this promise six years ago to Tony and I want you to make it to me-"

"I promise," says Peter without hesitation and without hesitation, I hug him and he hugs back "Oh Peter, what did the world ever do to deserve a hero like you."
