(Pssst, if you want quality art, you may want to skip the first several chapters. The improvement over the course of this book is like a giant mood swing, I gotta tell you,,)
Oi, how are ya! Welcome to my first compilation of what I occupy myself wi...
Aha! As promised, I am back and it has only been about a week! 👍😏
This piece is super meaningful to me, and I'll explain why in a moment
(You'll probably have to turn your brightness up to see it properly)

So... I'm sure you'll recognize the cat in the middle as my OC Sparklepool from multiple previous chapters as well as my profile pic and the cover of this book, as she's my main OC and I draw her a lot. But this year marks the 10th anniversary of Sparklepool's existence, so I wanted to draw a special piece with each of her three major designs I've had for her over the years to commemorate the milestone!
The first design I ever had for Sparklepool was a Lucario Pokémon from when I was six or seven to when I was about nine (I was low key obsessed with Pokémon when I was little shhhh), back when I didn't even have a name for her yet.
The second design I had for her was a barn owl for a couple years when I was around ten years old, when I was obsessed with Guardians of Ga'Hoole.
And, finally, after becoming obsessed with Warriors in Grade 5, when I was about eleven years old, I came up with Sparklepool's cat design, and also, after FIVE YEARS of her existing, finally named her.
The blue, red, and purple coloured outlines are metaphoric, I suppose, of the vibe of the different points in Sparklepool's life that each of the three designs was around for. The gem in place of where the moon would be is also a big part of Sparklepool's character, but it would take too long to explain, so I won't •v• And then there are the stars at the top of the picture that spell out "10 Years", just as a little spicy edition
Overall, the piece is very metaphoric and special to me, and I absolutely LOVE it 🥰 It was pretty fun to draw, actually - minus all of the times my laptop crashed while I was drawing, of course. I LOVE owls, but this was the first time I've actually gotten to properly draw a finished, realistic owl. It was also super fun to try to draw a Pokémon realistically and also try to make it sort-of resemble Sparklepool. That was definitely the most difficult part of the drawing, but it was fun, and I think it turned out pretty well :) (I had to try to add a nose to the Lucario while still making it look natural, and I also had to reference a fox for the anatomy, texture, and fur detail for most of it 👍)

Also, just a little fun fact about how I came up with Cat Sparklepool's incredibly complex, original, genius design (sarcasm heavily implied) : I decided to make her a solid white cat because I've always wanted to have a pretty, long-furred, solid white cat in real life... and also because I have ghosty-white skin, and I thought it'd be funny to give Sparklepool that feature, since I mildly designed Sparklepool after myself👌 She has very long fur because, in real life, I have very long hair - down past my waist, in fact. And, lastly, there's her eyeballs. Originally I gave her blue-green eyes after myself, but then I gave her red eyes during the Lucario / Owl phases, and then by the Cat Phase I combined the two and, as we know, blue + red = purple, so that's basically all there is to that 🤗 I just gave each of her designs in the picture the same purple eyes because otherwise it'd be rather hard to tell that they're all Sparklepool 👍

Anywho, that's all, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk :) I just wanted to pop by, post this like I said I would, and give you a little history lesson on my 10-year-old gal, Sparklepool 😉
