“Corinthia hotel please,” I smiled to the cab driver as I jumped into the back of the taxi.

As the taxi drove away from Kings Cross station, I impatiently tapped on my phone with my nails. I’d just spent near enough two hours sat next to Tom on the train in awkward silence with the odd bit of small talk – all I wanted now was to get to the hotel and surprise them all. They had no idea I was coming. Within seconds of the taxi pulling up at the Corinthia, I had paid the driver, thanked the driver, got out of the taxi and watched the driver drive off again. Stood looking up at the hotel, I smiled. It felt good to be back; it was like that feeling you get when you come back home after a long holiday abroad. I suppose in a way it was home. I’d spent near enough four months here. The Corinthia was as much as a home to me as the contestants were as much as a family to me. Walking up the steps to the lobby entrance, the doorman smiled at me as he opened the door for me to walk through. “Good to have you back, Sammy,” he smiled.

I couldn’t stop grinning as I walked over to the reception to check in. “You’re back in your original room,” the receptionist smiled, handing me a key. “I take it you remember your way up to your room?”

I laughed. “How could I forget?”

With that, I ran towards the stairs and began to make my way up to the third floor. As I got to the top of the stairs, one of the managers, Sarah, was walking down the corridor towards Josh and JJ’s room. “Sammy!” she grinned as she turned around and saw me following her.

“Hiya,” I laughed as she hugged me.

“You’re back?”

“I’ve got photo shoots so they’ve put me back in here for a few nights,” I grinned.

“The boys will be so happy to see you,” she smiled.

“They don’t know I’m here,” I confessed, laughing nervously.

“Follow me,” she said. “We’ll surprise them.”

I nodded and followed her as she walked towards Josh and JJ’s room. As I stood behind the wall out of sight, she knocked on the door. “George, have you got another number for Jaymi?” Sarah asked.

“Erm.. yeah,” I heard him say. “I’ve got his boyfriend, Olly’s number.”

After a few moments of silence, Sarah smiled at me. “Thanks George,” she said before turning away.

“Boo!” I shouted as I jumped out in front of the doorway.

To my surprise, the door was already closed. “Sarah!” I whispered loudly after her as she walked down the corridor. “He closed the door.”

Groaning, Sarah “George, I don’t suppose you’ve got a number for Josh too,” Sarah smiled as George answered the door for the second time as I stood hiding behind the wall.

“I’ve got his mum’s number on a piece of paper in my room,” he said. “One sec, JJ.”

As George walked out of the room and closed the hotel room door behind him, he had his back to me. “Boo!” I shouted as I jumped onto his back. Before I knew what was happening, me and George both fell to the floor. “Whoops,” I giggled.

“What are you doing here?” George grinned, hugging me as we laid on the floor.

“Got some photo shoots and interviews so thought I’d come surprise you,” I smiled as he helped me up off the floor.

“I’ll see you guys later,” Sarah laughed as she walked down the corridor.

“Don’t you want the number?” George asked her.
