20 - jimin's awake

i sat in study hall bored out of my mind. my phone vibrated next to me, a notification from dani. she sent me a funny picture, a filter on her face. i sent her a picture back of me making a funny face.

my phone vibrated again in my hand, i froze immediately.

jimin's mom
"please call asap"

oh my god.

i stood up from my seat fast, packing up my stuff quickly, "i-i have to go." i said to my teacher.

i arrived at the hospital, making my way to his room as quickly as i could. i saw his mom talking to the doctor, her face lit up when she saw me. "i wish you could've been here when it happened." she said.

my heart was beating so fast, "c-can i see him?"

his mom nodded her head, i went into his room. i almost broke out into tears when i saw him sitting in bed, awake.

i sat on the edge of the bed, grabbing onto his hand, "j-jimin? it's seokjin...can you hear me?"

i froze when his eyes looked up at me, his mom's hand grabbed onto my shoulder, "he knows we're here, but he can't communicate yet...but here he is, looking so handsome." her voice cracked, like she was bound to cry.

i chuckled, "you do. once we get these roots touched up." i ran my fingers through his messy hair, there is no way he would ever tolerate his hair to look like this.

his mom sighed, "he should rest. it's been a big day."

"i'll go." i said. she stopped me, "take a minute." she smiled at me, then left the room leaving me and him alone.

i smiled at him, bringing myself up to him and kissing him on the cheek. he looked at me emotionless, but his eyes were showing me all the emotion he couldn't show physically.

"i love you. don't ever doubt that."
