You haven't realized you started tearing up again until you saw a hand reaching out to you. There, sat in its palm is a handkerchief. You took a hold of it and used it to wipe off your tears. You looked up to the owner of the hand. Then, you saw a man smiling down to you. His smile is so bright, almost as bright as the sunshine. Well, you can't see the sun now since it's the first snowfall, but you were embraced by a different kind of warmth when you saw his smile.
You were about to hand him back the handkerchief but hesitated since you have already used it. You again looked at him, smiling too when you saw his smile. "Thank you for lending me your handkerchief. You didn't have to do it. Now, it's all stained up. Thanks to my tears",you said smiling at him. "Oh no it's okay, really. I just don't want to see a pretty girl like you crying", he replied. "By the way, I'm Hoseok. I'm your hope." You chuckled at his weird introduction. "I'm Yanna. It's so nice to meet you." He held out a hand for you to shake and you gladly accepted it. "And oh, by the way, about your handkerchief, I'm just going to buy you a new one", you added. "You can have it, and you don't have to buy me a new one."
"No, seriously I have to", you insisted. "Well, if you insist to", he replied. He sat beside you. "What have you been doing here? Why were you crying?", he asked, face full of concern. "Nothing, I just remembered something. I went here to wait for the first snowfall. I also come here often."
"I waited for the first snowfall here too. Then ,I saw you crying. I understand if you don't want to tell me the reason why now, but I hope you tell me someday. Can we be friends?", he asks. "Of course, you are the first ever person to ask me that. I'd love to be your friend", you replied. "Friends then?" You nodded smiling.
"Well I guess, I have to go. See you again soon Hoseok", you said standing up and walking away. You started pacing to your apartment which is only 2 blocks away unable to hear the faint screams from Hoseok, stopping you.
You arrived at your apartment. You relaxed and sat on the couch. Then you remember something, you forgot to ask for Hoseok's number. Oh shoot, how can I hand him a new handkerchief? I'm so stupid, you thought to yourself. You just decided to lay back on your couch, forgetting to change your clothes and just letting this little problem slide off your mind for this moment. Then, you slowly drifted to dreamland.
