Yanna:
It's 8:30 in the evening and I had just finished taking a bath. I slipped on a black fitted turtle neck dress. I let my hair down to help me get rid of the coldness of the atmosphere. I looked at myself in the mirror, I look beautiful. It's the first time I ever noticed that.
I slipped on some white sneakers paired with my dress. I don't wear heels. At least not now. I put my long coat on and waited for Hoseok.
"Ready Miss?", Hoseok beamed when he arrived at my doorstep. "Yes, Mr. Jung."
He led me outside and into his car. "Take a seat Miss", he bowed after opening the door. "What has gotten into you tonight?", I asked him chuckling. "A beautiful lady like you deserves to be treated like this."
The ride went on. It's been 30 minutes and we haven't arrived yet.
"Hobi, where are we going?" I asked him.
"Somewhere special", he said as he glanced at me.
"Is that so? You take me everywhere special. What makes this place more special than the others?"
"Are you saying that every place we've been are special?"
"Of course. I am with you. That's why."
"Are you being serious Yanna? Like right now?"
"Of course. Why not?"
" Nothing.Just wait until we get there."
A few minutes passed and the car finally came into a halt. "We're here", Hoseok said as he opened the door for me. I looked at the place. I can't be wrong. It's a hill.
"Why did you take me here?" I asked him as we walked into his so called 'designated place'. "Relax, I'm not kidnapping you Yanna."
"Are we still on Seoul though?"
"Yes, of course", he chuckled.
"Stop laughing. It's not funny."
"Aww you're mad at me now? I hope you forgive me after I show you what I've been preparing for."
"What?"
"Close your eyes Yanna."
"What for? You're going to leave me here?"
"No. Trust the sunshine."
"Okay I will."
"Don't cheat Yanna. I am looking at you."
"Just stop with this silly prank or whatever Hobi."
He suddenly held my hand. I felt a little rush of tingles through my veins and I felt my cheek heat up. "You're blushing Yanna. I thought you're mad at me", Hoseok teased. "Stop it", I said and slapped his arm lightly.
"You can open your eyes now beautiful." I opened my eyes and felt my jaw dropped to the ground.
"Am I forgiven now?" Hoseok said smiling teasingly.
"You planned this didn't you?"
"Not really. I just thought for this for almost two days and got help from three of my friends to set this up."
"Really funny Hobi."
He was taken aback when I jumped to him and hugged him.
The set up is so beautiful. There are a few lamp posts adorned with Christmas lights. There is one large tree on top of the hill and it's also surrounded with Christmas lights. Hoseok prepared a picnic like feast for us under the tree.
Hoseok:
I was taken aback when Yanna jumped to me, hugging me. I hugged her back. "You're the best Hobi. Thank you."
"Only the best for you princess."
I led her towards the tree. We sat on the mat I prepared and started munching on the food. "I didn't know we can have picnic in the evening", Yanna suddenly said with her mouth half filled with food. "Well, I'm unique. I'm Hobi", I said tapping my chest proudly. "You sure are."
"This is strange Hobi. And it's kinda creepy", Yanna said hugging herself.
"What makes this strange?"
"Well, we're celebrating New Year's Eve here in this place and it's kinda creepy to be here in this kind of place at this time. It's almost midnight."
"Don't be scared, you have me. Well, that's the point, it's almost midnight. This is not strange nor creepy. This is called special."
"We will stay here until the year changes?"
"Yup. You will know why later."
"You're always into surprises Hobi."
"Yes I am."
I looked at the clock ,11: 58. I looked at Yanna still munching on the food.
"Yanna, come closer to me."
"Wae? You want to hug me?"
"Yes and I'm gonna show you something. This is the highlight."
She scooted closer to me and laid her head on my shoulder. I intertwined my fingers with hers and she did the same. "In the count of ten, look at the sky."

I glanced at Yanna who had her eyes glistening with the sight of the fireworks. I brought her here so we can have a better view, away from the busy atmosphere of the city. She looked at me and hugged me ever so tightly. "Thank you, Hobi."
