Hoseok:

Yanna seemed to avoid me. She even seemed like she's in a rush when I called her a while ago. Maybe, she's just too busy.

The next day, I woke up feeling as happy as ever. Of course, it's my birthday. My first ever birthday with Yanna.

I made my way down the dining room and I was greeted by my mother. "Our Birthday boy is awake! Happy Birthday son", she said kissing my cheeks. "Gomawo eomma."

Dad and noona soon walked inside and they greeted me as well. I thanked them and we started eating our breakfast.

Mom excused herself and stood up from her chair. She came back with a cake and a candle lit up on top of it.

They started singing the 'Happy Birthday Song' for me and I blew the candles. They cheered for me and clapped their hands.

I called Yanna and asked if I can come over. She agreed and I drove to her place.

Yanna:

Hoseok called me and said that he's coming over. I quickly kept all the remaining decorations inside my room. The venue is being decorated now though, I just prepared additional ones. Dawon unnie is taking care of the preparations now. The doorbell rang and I opened it. Now the plan really starts.

Hoseok:

I rang the doorbell and was greeted by a sweaty Yanna.
"What happened to you? Why are you all sweaty?"
"Nothing. I'm busy."
"Why are you here? I still have something to do."

Ouch.

"Am I disturbing you?"
"Obviously."

Double ouch.

"What's wrong Yanna? Are you mad at me?"
"No. I just want to be alone to finish my work."
"I can help you."
"I don't need your help."

Ouch. Strike three. What's wrong with her?

"Don't you remember anything special about this day Yanna?"
"Not really. All I can remember is the pile of work I still need to do."

Ouch. Strike four.

She doesn't remember my birthday.

My phone suddenly buzzed and I fished it out of my pocket. Noona is calling.

Come home now Hoseok. Eomma needs you now."

Yes noona.

"I have to go Yanna. Mom needs me."
"Good for me. I can finish my work at peace now", she said and shut the door. She didn't even say goodbye.

I drove back home feeling like my heart is breaking. Something is wrong with Yanna.

Yanna:

I sighed in relief when Hoseok finally left. I feel bad. Extremely bad. I don't want to make him feel this way, specially on his birthday. I don't have a choice, this is a part of the plan.

He looked so sad. I can even see that he was trying his best not to cry.

I'm so sorry Hobi. I would never do that to you.

I was so good a while ago. I deserve an Oscar's award.

I called unnie.

Unnie. Hoseok left.

Good. I told him that mom needs him. .

Yes he told me before he left.

Are you sure he will be okay?

Of course. Someone's concerned......

I just feel bad. But of course I care for him.

Just go on with the plan. I'll ask mom to bring him to the venue. See you in a bit.

Yeah. See you unnie. Bye.

Bye.

I dropped the call and continued preparing the decorations. I brought them to the venue and put them up.
I returned to my place to prepare.
