Yanna:
As usual, I woke up with the sound of my alarm clock. I did my morning routine and prepared for taking a shower.
Before stepping into the shower, I plugged in my phone with its charger. I took a quick shower and dressed up with my work attire. I also put on light makeup. Then, I hurriedly went outside to the kitchen.
I made some pancakes for breakfast. I dug in and finished drinking my cup of coffee. I also left some food for Tan as I always do before leaving. I love him too much to let him starve.
I entered my room once again. I noticed my phone on my nightstand. I unplugged it from its charger.I opened it and as usual, a message from Hoseok popped up.
Hoseok♡:
Good morning Yanna! Have a nice day. Good luck for your work. Why aren't you replying to my messages? Anyways, take care and eat well.
Omg, he noticed! What should I reply? Act cool Yanna, stay calm.
I heaved a sigh and typed in a message.
Me:
Good morning Hobi. Have a great day as well. Take care.
I put my phone inside my bag not wishing to see what Hoseok's reply will be. I took a glance at the clock.
Oh shoot! It's 7:50! I'm gonna be late and I haven't prepared my lunch yet. Looks like I'm gonna be eating outside then. Great.
I hurried outside my apartment and went to the parking lot. Luckily, I didn't get stuck in the traffic.
I arrived at my workplace just in time. My co workers greeted me and I greeted them back with a smile.
I went to my working area. The atmosphere in here is so stressing. All I can see are piles of papers in front of me. I still have a lot of work to finish. I hope I can finish these all by today. I'm sure there will be another set of paper works to complete tomorrow so better finish these.
The company seems to be having a really big deal with our new partners. I glanced at my workmates and they're all like me. They are all too serious and engrossed with their work. Our company is lucky to have employees like us.
Speaking of those new partners, I remembered that the CEO will have a meeting with them. Of course, as the CEO's secretary, I will be present in that meeting. I really don't like socializing with people like them. I don't feel comfortable. But, I don't have a choice do I?
I continued with my work. I should not waste time right now. I still have a lot to do. I don't want to work over time. I will miss Tan and I'm sure he will miss me too. I don't want to leave my poor baby alone for too long.
I worked, and worked and worked. I finished half of the paper works piled up in my table. I took a glance at my wristwatch, 10:45 am, not bad enough. I may finish all of these by today.
The telephone beside my work table suddenly rang. I picked up the call.
: Yes?
: Good Morning Miss Yanna.
:Oh, Good morning Mr.Kim
:Please go to my office immediately.
:Yes, right away sir.
I dropped the call and immediately walked to his office. I knocked three times and I immediately heard a 'come in'.
I opened the door and bowed politely. "Good morning Mr. Kim. How may I help you?"
"Good morning Miss Yanna, aniya I don't need anything right now. I just want to tell you to get ready."
"Oh why sir?"
"We have a meeting with the new business partners remember?'
"Oh right sir, I'm sorry."
"No, it's alright. Just be prepared. The meeting will start at exactly 11am. Be here on time. Be sure to bring a notepad or your laptop. I need you to take notes of the things we are going to talk about during the meeting."
"Oh yes sir. I'll be here on time. Thank you."
" I know, I trust you."
I bowed at him before leaving his office.
I went back my to my area. I till have 10 minutes before the meeting starts. I looked at myself in the mirror, I look fine but I guess, I should do a retouch.
I looked for my lip gloss and my foundation. I put some foundation on my face and put some lip gloss. I looked at myself in the mirror. That's it, I look more like a human now. I mean I look better.
I looked for my laptop. Luckily, I brought it with me. I don't bring it everyday since I work in an office, of course they have provided us with computers to work with. Duh.
I stood up and headed to the conference room. I really don't like going to that room. The atmosphere inside suffocates me.
I went inside and noticed that I am the first one to arrive. I took a seat and prepared my laptop. A few minutes later. I checked my wristwatch again, 10:55am. And on cue, the board members arrived. A few minutes later, Mr. Kim arrived together with I assume are the new business partners.
We all stood up and bowed. I swear, I don't like events like these. I looked up and then- What the hell?!
