The Demon War

Chapter 1

Me and Cael were eating lunch while talking about today's class. "Can't believe we talking more about the races, but yet we don't talk about the demons at all" He complained as always. I chuckled, "It's fun learning a bit more about vampires, they're interesting". Cael nodded in agreement, "True, but very creepy" He said sitting down. "Oh, the smart guy gonna be telling us the story, I think his name is Vlad?" Cael mumbles to himself. Oh, Vlad? "Vlad Alaric?" I asked Cael as he nodded, "Yep, that Vlad" Cael stood up stretching. 

Vlad Alaric is the smartest vampire in this school, the teachers allow this boy to skip class due to his IQ, it's so sky-high like he can tell the future. He's even one of the top 10 Nationals, I believe he's even number one. "I'd love to talk to him," I said as Cael nodded, "Y'all are kinda the same people". "Hey!" I look away blushing as Cael laughed, "Come on, time for school" He said as I nodded. 

Our teacher told us what's gonna happen during the time. "It does sound very boring" Cael whispers to me, I waved my hand telling him to listen to the teacher. "Class, I want you to pay close attention, you may learn something new about the other good races" She would say with a smile. "Class, Vlad Alaric will explain the whole culture of their race, if y'all have any question at the end, please ask," She said smiling. "Thank you, Ms. Alexiah" A deep male voiced said walking to the class. He was wearing our normal school uniform, but he wears a cape. It kinda makes him look like Dracula. He has short black hair, he was wearing an eyepatch but one of his eyes was black, maybe he's missing the other due to the war?

"It's nice to meet all of you angels, the teacher told me to explain my culture with you guys. I didn't mind, it is nice to learn something every new, right?" He would ask us as we nodded. His shining black eyes would look at us before smiling, "Well, how did it even started? Well, we weren't meant to be born in the first place" He chuckled as we look at him in shock. "One of the scientists, I think he was an angel was doing his research on a bat. One day, the bat got out of control and it causes a huge mess to the scientist lab, they were also doing research on another angel and well that didn't end well". I could tell even Cael was paying close attention, I guess he was even interested in this. "Well, the bat and the human fused, and that's how we were made! Now, yes, we do drink blood and stuff like that, but we mostly eat normal stuff like humans. We can also transform into bats and fly, the smartest...that I don't know, skills I believe" He smiled as we all nodded taking notes. 

Some people asked questions like, "Can you hear better?", "How does it feel being a vampire?", "Can you react faster?". I chuckled, "People seem to be very interested in Vlad" I whisper to Cael as he nodded. "Hey, can he hang out with us?" Cael asks as I rolled my eyes and nodded. "Alright!" Cael accidentally shouted the people look at him. I couldn't help but laughed as Cael look down in embarrassment. Vlad looks at him, "Oh, you seem excited? I bet you want me to hang out with you guys?" He said as Cael's eyes widen looking at him. "Oh, forgot to tell y'all. I can read minds also" He chuckled as Cael nodded. "Well, I don't mind, but you know I have other class to teach, so during lunch," He said clearing his throat. Cael looks at me with the look of "Nail it". Yeah...you did nail it alright.

During lunch, I, Cael, and Vlad were hanging out. Cael was talking to Vlad about how cool his race was during the war. "I feel..umm...good that you feel this way, Cael" He smiled, I can tell he was a bit embarrassed though. "You acting like a fan," I said while studying. "I can't help it, Gabe! He's such a very good person, I just can't help myself!" He'd say while blushing. You gonna weird him out if you continue dude..I just chuckled closing my book. "Vlad, wasn't your father in the war?" I asked him as he nodded, "Yeah, he was called 'The fastest warrior' because of his speed". Me and Cael look at him with surprise. "Wait, you're his son?!" We both shouted as Vlad smiled and nodded, "I not popular just by my smarts, but also by my family! That's one of the reasons why the teachers allow me to skip class and study". We both were just amazed. Vlad chuckled standing up, "Well, I have to go now!" He'd say turning around, his cave danced around to his back as he waved walking off. "..." Me and Cael didn't say a word and just continue to eat, we both were just that shocked.

Cael was in his dorm freaking out. I couldn't help but laugh, "Cael, you need to calm down," I said as Cael took some deep breathes. "I just..can't believe it! The one and only guy! I-"Cael begins to breathe so heavily that I feel like he's gonna have a heart attack. I chuckled rubbing his back to calm him down, "I'm alright...I'm alright...I'm okay" He calmed down before sitting down. "Well, it's time for us to sleep, I gonna hit the hay," I said as Cael nodded. "I'm just...gonna stay here...for a bit.."He said staring at the wall. I think he's still in shock after finding out a bit more about Vlad. I smiled walking off to bed.
