Chapter 13 (Vlad Arc)

The next day, I try to think about how to confessed to Vlad. "How can I do it? Maybe I should do it in a cool way?" I begin to think while walking. "Hmm, maybe I should ask for some advice," I said walking to Cael. "Hmm, I don't know? Maybe give him some flowers or a card?" Cael said. I forgot how much Cael knows about romantics. "You don't even know how dating works, do you?" I question, he shook his head laughing slightly. "Oh, y'all talking about romantic?" Aubry asks walking to me. I nodded, Aubry chuckled "Well, just be your creative self, Gabe" Aubry grinned. "I know, but I want it to be cool" I sigh as Aubry laughed, "Don't worry about it being cool, just ask the boy out" Aubry grinned. "Hey, guys, what you talking about?" Ren walks to us. "Hey Ren, we were just talking about how Gabe should ask Vlad out," Aubry said, I blush out of embarrassment. "Oh, just ask him out. It's way cool if you just ask them out without any treats" Ren said while smiling. "W-Well, okay, I'll give it a shot" I took a deep breath before walking off. 

I walk to the roof, Vlad was there crossing his legs while drinking some tea. "Oh, young boy, what you doing here?" Vlad asked pouring some tea. "Here, have some tea" He'd say smiling. I could feel my heart beating fast again, this must be love..right? I walk to Vlad sitting down beside him, "Thanks, I wanted to ask a question" I said as Vlad looks at me. "Oh, what's the question?" He asked. I could feel the words in the back of my throat, it's really hard to say. "Well, d-do you...do you wanna..date?" I said looking away. "Date? Oh, you wanna hang out with me?" Vlad asked smiling. "Well, sure! You can say it like that" I said blushing. Vlad smiled, "Well, I don't mind, wanna meet tomorrow at the gates, 6:00 PM?" He asked as I nodded smiling. 

"Well, it worked," I said as the others begin to cheer. "Good luck man, just be yourself and you should be fine," Aubry said as I nodded. "To be honest, love is very strange," Cael said scratching his back, Aubry nodded gently patting his back. "Gabe, it might be raining tomorrow, please do take good care of yourself" Ren warned me as I nodded smiling. "Well, I should get some rest for tomorrow, see ya!" I waved before walking off to bed. 

The next day, I was in the gates wearing my school uniform. I wasn't thinking of how to confessed Vlad that much, so I forgot that we had school today. At least Vlad doesn't seem to mind wearing his school uniform also. Vlad walks up to me shaking his head, "You do know it's gonna rain?" Vlad pointed to the clouds. "Oh shoot!" I shouted blushing slightly, I kinda did this on purpose. "Well, luckily I brought my umbrella with me" I grinned, Vlad lifted an eyebrow but nodded. "So, ready to go?" I asked as Vlad nodded, "Well, we got until midnight" Vlad said pointing to his watch. Luckily, it was only 6:00, so we should be good. 

The rain begins to pour, Vlad was just standing in the rain like it was nothing to him. I lightly put the umbrella on him, he notices and becomes a bit flusher pushing it back to me. "Huh?" I put it back to him, landed back on me, put it back, on me, put it back-"You asking for a fight at this point" Vlad said. "N-No, I just don't want you to get wet," I said. Vlad sighs before smiling slowly getting closer to me, "I know this is embarrassing for you, but you don't mind?" Vlad asked as I nodded. Vlad gets closer to me our shoulders begin to touch, I couldn't help but blush, but pretend I don't care. "You know, people say the rain is sad, but I think the rain fun. You get to play in the rain and be childish for once" Vlad grinned, I stare at him dumbfounded. "Sounds a bit childish, but it's fun" Vlad smiled as I nodded. 

Once we were inside, Vlad told me a bit more about a demon war. He told me how the whole situation started, what the vampires did, "We did panic, but we mostly prepare ourselves for war" Vlad smiled. Vlad told me how his father prepares himself for war, just so many insane things. Vlad chuckled to himself, "I mean, it was an insane year for everyone, even me" Vlad would look at the rain smiling. "But you guys did make me feel better, it's like I can forget about those bad times.."Vlad would say holding his chest. 

As soon as me and Vlad walk out of the restaurant, Vlad jumped in a puddle grinning. "V-Vlad, what're you doing?!" I shouted as Vlad stares at me grinning. "Young boy, you need to enjoy nature once in a while. You never know when you gonna go back to war" Vlad would say before jumping on the puddle like a little kid. I stare at him in confusion before grinning joining him, we both begin to laugh like little kids enjoying the time that we have left. "Young boy, you won't be sick tomorrow, right?" Vlad asked as I shook my head, Vlad nodded smiling. "Alright, we should go back to the school now, it's around 9:00," Vlad said as I nodded. With that, we both walk back to school.  To be honest, I should've confessed right there, but it feels a bit too soon. Maybe one day me and him will go out.
