Chapter 20 (Aubry Arc)

It's been a day since Aubry went back to the place, I never know I'd feel this upset. I was staring at the window not paying attention to what the teacher saying, he knows we all having a bad time so he doesn't mind. "Aubry.." I mumble his name looking down. Nothing has been the same since Aubry left, we all were full of anxiety. What that guy said...punishment...I wonder how is Aubry doing? Are they trying to make him strong or weak?

"I know we shouldn't stress about it, but I can't help it" Ren would say looking down. Cael nodded looking at the roof sighing. "I never really worry about anyone this much, but Aubry it's our dear friend. I'm sure he doesn't want us too worried about him" Robert looks at us, his eyes full of sadness but hope. That's right, we all need to have hope for Aubry. We all can't stay negative and stress about it forever, we gotta just hope for Aubry to come back. Aubry, we all believe in you...

"Get in there!" One of the officers would shout. He'd push me to a cell, of course, I couldn't fight back. "..." I just look down in shame, the pain from all over my body hurts like crazy, it's screaming for them to stop...but they didn't. "Heh, you think you could get away with running away!" One shouted punching me in the face. "..." I just look down my nose beginning to bleed. "I have a better idea for you, your friends thinking you might come back...but what if you die?" He smirked. My eyes widen, don't tell me he's gonna?! "That's right" The officer drags me to a chain, he'd put the chain in my arm, I didn't even bother fighting back. I just look down in shame as always, I'm ashamed of running away...I'm a disagree with my race...maybe I should just die?

Lately, Aubry has been in my mind. Cael notices how stress and depressed I was getting and decided to give me some space. I honestly need some after what's been going on lately. "..." I was beginning to hear Aubry's voice. I don't know why, but every time I start praying for him...I start to see him beaten up...chain up..calling himself...

"I'm a useless person..."

It was him, I hear his voice. Maybe this is my chance to help him? I slowly close my eyes and begin to pray for him. 

I could see him chain up, his back tattoo fully exposed in the moonlight. His nose was still kinda bleeding, his whole body has been bruised from head to toe, and yet he's still looking down in complete shame. "Heh...hehe...I'm a completely useless guy...I do hate myself, I cause trouble for everyone..and now...I'm back in hell and cause pain for everyone..." Tears begin to form in his eyes, but he still smiles. "I'm sorry everyone, I'm sorry...Gabe..." Aubry whispers my name crying slightly. 

"DON'T GIVE IN, AUBRY!"

"Huh, Gabe? I guess I'm going crazy now...I'm hearing voices now...hehe...I mean, being trap in a hell place for years will surely make me...crazy" 

"NO AUBRY, IT'S REALLY ME! LIFT YOUR HEAD UP!" 

"Gabe? Gabe?! Gabriel?! GABRIEL! GABRIEL! GABRIEL! GABRIEL!!!" Aubry shouted beginning to move around a bit screaming in pain, I could see blood-forming from his arm. Once he starts hearing my voice, it's like he has full power again. Is it because...he wants to see us again? "GABE! Gabe...please...I want you to come here...I want you to save me, please" Aubry would say looking down. 

"Aubry! You're strong enough to fight back! Don't give up now! Fight through it! Keep fighting! Push yourself! You're strong, don't listen to what they say!" 

"..." Aubry slowly looks up, his eyes were now completely full of color. "...I can't give up now, I gotta fight forward...I wanna see them again because I love them..I love this group...I love my friends" Aubry continues to pull the chain until...it finally broke making a loud noise. Aubry slowly falls down breathing extremely heavily. "..." He slowly looks around before slowly walking to the backdoor, he opens it, and finally, for the first time..he saw the outside door. The stars were shining, the sky was a beautiful blue and black, Aubry slowly stares at it smiling to himself. "...Gabe, I'm coming home..." Aubry slowly begins to walk forward, towards his future.

It's been three days since that incident happen. I was still hoping that someday, Aubry would come back for us. "Gabe, you sure he'll come back" Cael would ask while eating his lunch. I nodded looking at the window, he will be coming back anytime soon. "Well, we need to prepare for P.E. class," Cael said as I nodded. Of course, me and Cael gonna be playing some sports but it won't feel the same without a special someone. 

Me and Cael would walk to P.E., Adoff was in another classroom and Ren was in his tree as always. "..." Me and Cael stop dead on our track when we saw someone holding a baseball bat, he has some bandages on his arms and legs, but he was still smiling. He looks at us with a smile on his face, it looks like he's been there since this morning waiting patiently for us. My legs begin to move on their own, I ran up to the figure and hug him tightly tears form in my eyes. It's been four days, but it felt like forever since he was gone. I finally summed up the courage to say...

"Welcome back...

Aubry..."
