Chapter 24 (Rennard Arc)

I slowly wake up groaning to myself, I was in the dorm. "Hey," Cael said sitting beside me, he gave me a worried look. "Cael, what's wrong?" I asked as Cael sighs hitting me in the chest causing me to cough a bit. "You were in the beach pass out, me and Adoff have to carry you back here! Why were you on the beach?!" He said as I shrugged. "I...I honestly don't remember" I said as Cael sighs rubbing my hair. "Well, at least the demons didn't do anything to you," He said as I nodded slowly standing up groaning. "Well, come on. The others are waiting for you, it's dinner time" He said before walking off. I smiled slowly standing up-wait, I feel like something missing. No, not something...but someone. Maybe they'll come to my mind later on, I shouldn't really be stressing about it. 

"Something wrong, Gabe?" Adoff would ask me while we were eating. "No, I'm fine" I'd say smiling before continuing to eat. I don't know why, but I still can't get something out of my head...that we missing someone, but who? Adoff here, Aubry here, Robert, and Cael. So, who are we missing? Maybe it's just in my head and I'm just thinking too much. I grinned slightly and continue to eat, enjoying the warmth in this table.

The next day, I woke up yawning. Me and Cael did our daily routine, it was normal as always. We would eat, take a shower, chatting about son rsdom stuff and study, then go to class. But why does everything feel different? Why do I feel at least a bit sad? While me and Cael walking to our class, I notice the fox class. "..." I can't help but feel sad and a bit angry, but why? "Hey, watch out" Cael said as I look at him before tripling down the stairs dropping my bag. Cael sighs and walks down to where I am chuckling, "I told you to watch out" Cael said as I nodded grabbing my stuff. "..?" I notice a green book, a book of poems. When did I get this book? Wait...I remember something...a guy. He's from this school...he's a fox...he's very quiet and usually lay down in trees..

Rennard?!

My eyes widen as I suddenly remember. "R-Ren! Cael, where's Ren?!" I shouted looking right at him. "Ren? Oh, he's currently in class-hey!" He shouted, but I was running to where he is. I remember...not all but some. We were in the beach and there was another person who looks just like him! I need to see if he's okay.

I swing the door open and look around. "Hey, have you seen a guy name Rennard?" I would ask one of the foxes as they shook their head. "Oh, there he is" One said. "..." For a second, I felt relief...but it quickly change to disbelief. A guy who looks just like Ren walks in, but he was different. He was more outspoken and cheerful. Tyler... "Hello!" Tyler grinned as the people greet him. "Oh, Gabe, what you doing here?" Tyler would ask. I just stare at him in shock, "Tyler..." I said as he shook his head grinning. "No, it's me, Rennard" Tyler would say grinning.

During lunch, everyone was treating Tyler like he's Rennard. But Rennard completely different. He's never this active or outspoken. He's silent and usually read books to himself...what the hell is this? I couldn't handle it and decided to walk outside, where Ren tree at. "....Just what is going on here?" I mumble to myself. "Gabriel" A voice distracts my thoughts. I look up to see Tyler on top of a tree branch, leg cross grinning. "...Just...who are you? You not Rennard..." I said as Tyler smiled. "I'm surprised you even remember him, I guess you do love him" Tyler would say chuckling before beginning to think. "Well, what do you think I am?" He asked. I remember that Ren was missing a shadow, like he doesn't exist..."You must be the shadow" I said as Tyler shook his head. "Nope! I'm not a shadow at all. I'm mostly another personality of Rennard. But I mostly form of a shadow...so I guess you 80 percent right" Tyler said getting up before jumping down walking to me. I could see that he's also missing a shadow, just the hell going on here? "Hmmm, it doesn't take long now, before the power really takes affect" Tyler smiled as I look at him confused. "Ah, let me explain!" Tyler lift up his finer grinning.

Basically, foxes can mess with your mind and memories. They can make people think they nice but in reality they can be a sneaky person. They can also make them forget certain memories or add certain memories. So far, it's kinda like a game for Tyler..it won't be long until I completely forget about Ren and think Tyler is the true Ren. But I won't accept it. "No, I won't accept it..." I said as Tyler frowned slightly. "Well, this is gonna be a bit fun then!" Tyler quickly grinned before walking off. But then he stops and turns back to me.

"Gabriel, I hope me and you will have fun together"
