Imagine if Crypto was dying in your arms. :(

it was the final game for apex legends, after this game, whoever dies, dies forever, whoever is injured, is injured, you get the gist. apex was going to shut down after this game, it would go down in history as the greatest live competition in the world.

however, things weren't going to well for your squad.

lifeline, was running out of ammo, you almost died and crypto was injured. right now, a squad was attacking you three, you had managed to get two of them downed and one had no shield armour left.

"look..shit.. i'll go in and finish them off, okay? i'm already injured." crypto suggested, as he pressed his hand over the bullet wounds on his side, you shook your head.

"that's not a good idea! you'll die out there like that!" you disagreed with him, pointing to the blood still flowing down his side and onto his hand. lifeline nodded.

"she's got a point, yuh not gonna live out dere. it's best if yuh stay here." lifeline brung d.o.c out, who was trying it's best to heal crypto, but he painfully stood up and took out his R-301, still holding onto his side before running out from behind the crate you guys were at. you screamed out for him to come back, but soon you heard that little bell that the enemy squad was eliminated, but you also heard that little ring.

crypto had been downed and there was no way of reviving him.

"crypto!!" you ran to him, he lay on the floor, a lot more bullet holes had pierced him this time, making your eyes brim with tears.

"i told you not to do that, you idiot!" you cried to him, tears falling from your eyes as he weakly smiled up at you. placing his head on your lap, you brushed his dark locks of hair away from his face, to see him crying as well.

"i really should have listened to you, i'm so stupid.." he sobbed, lifeline watched and almost started crying herself, she kneeled next you both, a hand on your knee.

"he's not gonna make it." those words just broke your heart more as you watched the colour from him slowly drain.

"please.. before i die, sing me that song you love so much." he asked as his dying wish, his hand weakly grasping yours, a small soft smile on his face.

"wh-when she loved me?.." you asked and he nodded, placing a hand on your cheek, wincing at the pain of moving. you stared at his eyes, they were still bright and full of love for you, but you knew soon they wouldn't be colourful anymore.

you sung as best as you could, but your sobbing kept interrupting you, the sadness overwhelming you.

"crypto?.." you stared at him, he was now limp, his eyes now grey as the colour was drained from him. "crypto! no! oh my god.."

you lay over his body, sobbing like there was no tomorrow, even lifeline started crying.

"i-it's okay, y/n, we'll get through dis tog-together. you and me. we can win dis match. he'll be proud of y-yuh." she patted your shoulder as she stood up, looking at his death box in front of you.

you looked around at your current area, spotting a rose as you gently took it out of the grass, kneeling down at his death box with his body, placing the rose on top of it. you grabbed whatever ammo he had for you and lifeline, feeling guilty.

"w-we can do this.." you sighed, wiping the tears away from your puffy red eyes, saying one last goodbye to your lover and leaving, remembering all the victories you had with him.

"i'll never forget you, taejoon." you whispered.

at least he'll be with mila now.
