it was a simple duos match, you and revenant had been paired up and he seemed grumpy, as usual.
"you better do something good out there, don't go in there and die, okay?" he firmly ordered since you were more like lifeline: you were a person to give loot and to help care for the others, so you nodded, keeping a mental note to ..not die, basically.
"where we dropping, rev?" you asked and he grunted in reply, so you took that as an "anywhere". pinging the market, you both jumped out of the dropship and it kinda felt refreshing feeling the cool air.
once you landed, you managed to pick up an r-99 and a hemlok, grabbing as much ammo as you could before wraith appeared from around the corner, catching you by surprise. downing her, you could hear footsteps coming up behind you, so you quickly turned around to see pathfinder.
"i'm sorry!" you yelled as you downed him too, as a great friend of path's, you usually had him in your squad and you both worked well together. he took it as no hard feelings though.
their death boxes appeared before you, both grey since they didn't really have much except ammo you needed.
"i'm down!"
your heart sunk once you heard revenant say those two words, making you groan internally. grabbing as much as you could, you ran to see a mirage and crypto, mirage was down and crypto reviving.
as quick as you could, you knocked the crypto down, causing their death boxes to spring up.
"ugh, don't even bother." revenant complained and you were slightly annoyed by his tone but you turned around to help him. kneeling down, you grabbed the syringe and jabbed it into his side, causing him to flinch.
"i told you not to-"
"awe, did poor revy get hurt?" you teased as you picked him back up and onto his feet. he grumbled in reply, turning to go loot the others.
"i'm not thanking you." he waved your question off, making you chuckle slightly, patting his head.
"you're welcome, rev."

it rang through the whole area as you stared at revenant in disbelief, even he looked quite shocked. smiling and squealing, you rushed up to him and gave him a tight hug, even though it felt kinda uncomfortable since all you felt was metal, but you enjoyed it nonetheless. cheers came from the other legends. they were clapping for the both of you.
he unexpectedly hugged back, making you smile even wider.
"i love you, revenant." you blurted out, pulling away from the hug. even though he was a robot, you could tell he was blushing slightly.
"hm.. i love you too, then." he mumbled back, but two gasps came from behind you both. it was pretty obvious who the two were.
"awwe! he is blushing!" wattson poked at him, making revenant groan as mirage wrapped an arm around him and sent him a wink.
"y'know, you two would be the perfect couple. I don't mean harm saying that rev, please don't.. eat me.." mirage said and it was kinda true, polar opposites attract and you two were the exact opposite of each other: revenant was grumpy, angry and stubborn whilst you were optimistic, cheerful and energetic.
"I wouldn't mind that." you glanced at revenant,
and he was smiling.
