you were scared, more paranoid than normal. most people would love the thrill of being in apex legends, but you were beyond petrified, because..

you had no idea what the fuck you were doing.

as a shy child, you didn't have many friends growing up, just one or two as you lived in olympus.

now seeing yourself grown up and still pretty shy, you knew that you wouldn't fit in around here. as you stood in the dropship, you glanced around, trying to get comfortable with your new surroundings. one girl seemed to be tweaking with her electrical fences, talking to a rather tall man next to her.

"so like i was saying-! oh! zhe new legend is here! over here mon ami!" you almost shrivelled into a tiny ball, as the cheerful woman waved to you, so you walked up to them, not even managing to mumble your greetings.

"it's okay mon ami! you'll know your way around here sooner or later, je m'appelle wattson, or if you prefer, natalie paquette. pleasure to meet you!" natalie held out her hand and you shook it gently, smiling slightly.

"y-y/l/n (your legend name), or just y/n." she nodded, before glancing at the man next to her.

"oh, uh, crypto." he gave a small smile. he was like you, shy and timid, crypto obviously had secrets he was hiding.

"nice to meet you both." you bowed slightly and natalie pat your head. crypto bowed back, lifting his head up afterwards. there was a strong connection between you two, not romantically, but like you already knew each other inside and out from a simple glance, one that made you feel like you were both going to be the best of friends.

"yuh better not mess ya self up next time!-"

"i know i know chica! i got this! anyway, isn't the new legend meant to be here?" hearing yourself being referenced made you cringe, looking away slightly. wattson noticed this and wrapped her arms around you, you weren't one for hugs but natalie's seemed to be quite soothing, making you relax.

"she's over dere, don't do anything stupid!" the healer yelled at green haired man as he bounded up to you, a wide smile on his face.

"hola chica!! the name's octavio silva, or just silva for short, that's what che calls me at least." he spoke quite energetically, whilst you only managed to mumble a small 'hello'.

"so, what's your name?! where are you from?! how old ar-"

"quit it silva, yuh scaring the poor girl." he noticed how you backed up slightly and it kinda broke his heart. "don't mind the idiot here, i'm lifeline, yuh can call me ajay che, che or just ajay," she held out her and you shook it gently. "now, silva, slow down the questions and take yuh time. there's some cake for yuh in the kitchen it's yuh welcoming gift."
