Posting this early since there's a high probability of the US shutting down the Internet access nationwide for 10 days. I would've posted on Wednesday but the period starts on April 1 to April 10th. Other than that, I hope you enjoy the story! (By the way, the reader in my stories won't have a specific gender unless its part of the request. Shout out to the LGBTQ+ people who read my stories!)

“Ah, that was close! Nice throw, Tucker!” Felix says while laughing. You looked to him confused. Felix starts to recount everything that has happened making you all realize he was the enemy. You felt tears form in your eyes and glared at him. “As for Y/n, you have a choice. You can join me or you can die with your idiot friends.” He says.
You glanced between Felix and your friends. You knew that you've spent more time with Felix and your friends were thinking you'd join him. But then there was the small part of you that yearned for the adventure that you never properly got because you were thrown into one that happened because of Project Freelancer or the fact that you were with the Reds and Blues.
"Think about what you're doing Y/n! If your with them and Chorus wins, you'll be imprisoned. If you're with us, then we can be free to leave. I don't want to remember you as a criminal and I know that the others are thinking the same thing. Don't leave us for some douche that is going to ruin your reputation and life." Tucker says.
You took your helmet off and wiped your tears dry. Then you took the moment to rationally think through your options. But before you could decide, one of the space pirates threw a grenade at Locus and you watched as they came down. A holographic figure appeared making you realize it was Church and Carolina.
"Don't you even think about leaving us, Y/n. You're one of the few people that I actually enjoy being around. If you leave us, I'm deleting you from my memories. At least, the bad memories. I actually liked you but I didn't show it because you were always trying to be alone. What I'm trying to say is, please don't leave us." Church says.
You sighed but didn't want to leave Felix. Especially since he stole your heart and he wasn't willing to give it up so easily. And that was when you made your decision. Facing your friends, who became your family, you stood tall.
"I'm sorry but you guys are holding me back. I'm done trying to clean up after someone else fucked up. I'm tired of being seen as someone I didn't work hard to become. And I'm fucking tired of standing around and talking all the god damn time! This is my choice and I choose to be better than all of you!" You said.
The next thing you knew, Carolina drop-kicked you and you couldn't help but feel like you made a mistake. You just betrayed them. You just left them because a hot guy asked you to. And to instantly be put down by the best of Freelancer, you couldn't have looked any worse.
After they disappeared, Felix took you back to base so you could get fixed up. Kimball even asked how you survived but the rest of the Reds and Blues didn't. Felix helped lie and after you were tended to, he took you away so he could talk to you. Alone.
"I'm glad you aren't my enemy. But are you sure you're okay after telling them off? I honestly would've stayed with what they were saying. But I'm sorry they didn't think about what you were going through." Felix said.
You took your helmet off and Felix followed in suit. He cuddled you close and you melted into his comforting hug. You might've lost the trust of the Reds and Blues but, you weren't going to die in vain just because you wanted someone to care about you.
