The bad guy was, as I had seen before, dressed in black from head to toe. He quickly ran over to my bed and put his hand over my mouth before I could scream. I wasn't going to, anyway. He might just shoot me. Today, we actually learned part of staying calm undercover. I tried my best to do what I was supposed to do. First, I should let him talk, because it might give me a clue who or what he wants. Then, I can use physical force if necessary.
"You're coming with me," my attacker whispered. That wasn't good, so I did the next thing I could. Stall.
"Why would I do that?" I asked.
"You'll see soon enough," he replied. So now I did the last step. I kicked my attacker in his stomach, which made him double over. Next I stole his gun out of his hand. He expected this, so before I could aim it at him he knocked out of my hand across the room.
Lucky for me, the principal decided just in case somebody tries to kidnap me again, I should have a firearm.
I reached into my duffel bag and pulled the gun out. I pointed it at my attacker.
"Tell me why you want me, or else I'll shoot you," I said flatly.
"I'm not telling you anything," my attacker replied. So, I kept my word. I shot him in his foot, and he yelped in pain.
"I'm not soft, just in case you didn't know." My attacker slowly put his hands up, then he decided to leap at me. I wasn't expecting this, so I was caught off guard. He quickly wrapped his arms around my throat, putting me into a headlock.
Then my attacker and I heard people coming.
The principal, with all of my teachers and guards, burst through my door. But my attacker saw this coming, almost like he knew they were on their way. He shot a big hole through my window, and climbed out to escape. By the time they turned the lights on , he was gone. Since he let go of me, I had been gasping for breath.
"Where did he go?" the principal asked. I pointed out of the window. Some guards when back into the hall. While the teachers climbed out of the window.
The principal stayed back.
"Are you okay?" I nodded. "Come on," the principal said. "Let's head down to my office."
We walked for a little while until we reached her office. Her first words, of course, were only for debriefing. She asked what he wanted. I told her everything and that I didn't know why he wanted me. My eyes fell under the desk. There was a sealed document with numbers in bold print. The numbers were 55706401279. I picked it up and asked her what it was.
"I don't know," she replied. "It must just be another document." She slipped it into a compartment in the desk that was locked, with a keypad entry.
I also noticed that the very seat I was sitting in was warm, meaning only one thing.
"Was somebody in here before me?" I asked.
"Good observation skills, Ms. Smith. Somebody was here. Harry Taylor. That troublemaker. He got into a fight again. Okay, so as you already know, you are no longer safe in your dorm room. So you will move to the safest place in this building. There is a secret entrance that I will take you to at 2100 hours. Be ready by then."
I slipped out of the office, wondering if I had made the right decision of coming to this Academy.
