I woke up in the secret room at 0545 hours. I groggily sat up, relieved that no one had attacked me and that I was alive. If I had ever stated crazy things like that in my old school, I would have been joking.

Not this time.

After all, somebody had tried to assassinate me the day before. Despite how secure this building was supposed to be, he had still broken in. And on top of everything, they had let him escape. But there was more. They still hadn't found my friend Jonathan. I was very worried about him. And I felt that it was my job to figure out what the bad guys wanted, and what their plan was. I had been considering that the people that captured Jonathan might be the people who sent the assassin to my room last night. Then again, I couldn't be so sure. The only thing remotely connecting the two was that they had attempted to capture me.

And that didn't mean anything at all.

I realized I had to head to my Poison and Antidotes class, for my first time. I quickly got up, dressed, and headed toward the classroom.

This class was taught by Severus Harrison, one of the few teachers I had not already met. He was very strict and I was told he could see a mile away, so we shouldn't fall asleep in his classes. Kim told me one guy wore sunglasses and Mr. Harrison caught him, followed by him using a poison to melt his glasses. No one ever fell asleep in his class again.

This class was more about poisons, therefore dangerous. Second years through fifth years at the top of this class would work with each one of us to ensure our safety. I walked to my desk.

I got paired with Harry Taylor, expecting the worst.

"Hi," Harry said. I tried to avoid speaking to him until he finally asked, "You think I'm bad, don't you?". I think my brows furrowed in confusion. Why would he say that unless he's not bad at all. "I never start the fights. They pick on me because of my parents. Spies that work in an office. I may be a legacy, but everything doesn't work out the way your life does." I suddenly apprehended everything.

"I'm sorry for... judging you," I stated.

"It's fine." I was soon after thinking about how handsome he was. I wasn't sure, but I thought I had a crush on Harry. My phone buzzed. I took it out and saw Kim had texted me.

What's up with you and Harry? Looks to me like love at first sight.

If that's how I was looking, he was looking the same way. We talked almost all the class. Mr. Harrison reminded us to work so many times that I couldn't count.

Near the end of class he asked me if he wanted to study later. I said sure. We would meet at his dorm room. I left class beaming. I got back to my room and tried the safe system for the first time, and it worked perfectly. I laid back in my bed, having ended all my classes for the day. Later, I got another text from Kim.

Meet me in my dorm room at 2000 hours. I was very curious as to what Kim wanted, so I quickly responded sure.

I soon after realized I should never have gone.
