Just like that, in a mere 60 seconds, we were captured again. Apparently, we hadn't caught them off guard at all. The five of them rounded up the guys Kim took out. They woke up and were now more rough on us. The man that had taken us out had already taken our guns and Kim's knife. I looked at Kim's leg again and again. I just didn't find it humanly possible to store a knife in your skin.

Meanwhile, Kim couldn't tell me herself. She was occupied, being dragged by 3 of the guards from before. While they knew she was dangerous, they hadn't seen me fight. I was being handled by one of the new guards that had tricked us. Unlike the other guards, they had masks on that we're covering their faces. That led me to be curious. I wondered if that was just a part of their suits or if they wanted to hide who they are. They all had 2 guns, a taser, and a knife. They looked like ninjas. They gave off a vibe that told me I'd better not mess with them. They seemed to have more experience than me and Kim combined. And I only knew a few. But it was possible that there were more of those people out there. It bothered me that the side of the bad guys had amazing spies as well. In every movie I watch, the bad guys always lose.

Apparently, that's not how it worked in real life.

In real life, both sides went back and forth fighting, one side occasionally getting the upper hand. Right now, I didn't know who would win. It didn't seem to be good for us right now, though. A miracle did happen before. I wasn't giving up hope, but it didn't seem likely that we would get another one.

I assumed we were being taken to an interrogation room that was on a side of the building where there was nothing, except for security cameras. No people were roaming the halls, the walls were bare, and all of the doors were closed. When we entered the room, I was shocked.

It wasn't an interrogation room. This room was completely white with no furniture. The only thing there was a door. When I looked to the guards Kim had taken out, they seemed surprised as well. When I looked to Kim, however, she was smiling. In fact, that was the biggest smile I had ever seen anybody give.

Then the new guards sprang into action.

They started to fight the other guards. The battle only lasted 3 seconds. I looked at Kim with confusion and relief, but my questions were soon answered when the new guards took their masks off. I recognized three of them as Mum, Dad, and Kim's brother, Alex. The other two looked about my parents age and looked a lot like Kim. "Cathy, these are my parents," Kim explained.

"You guys need to get through that door and save Jonathan," Kim's mom said. "My husband and I will take care of the guards." "Bye Mum," Kim said. My parents led both of us into a corner of the room while Kim's parents left. "Okay guys," my mum started. "They have most likely tried to turn Jonathan any way they can, so be prepared." Kim and I nodded. My dad kicked the door in and we stormed in, guns at the ready. The room was completely black. There was a catwalk stretching around it. "Put your hands up!" yelled a voice I recognized. I turned around to find a boy on the catwalk with his hand on an explosive trigger.

Jonathan.
