I stayed inside a room for about 15 minutes before someone came inside again. I didn't know if the woman that came was my attacker or not. She looked like she was in her late thirties, but still had a sort of grace when she walked. She had wavy brown hair and black eyes. She looked as though she were friendly but I couldn't be sure. She was dressed in something you would wear to a meeting, very formal. She sat down across the large table facing me.
"Good afternoon. My name is Eliza Allen. I am the principal of MI6 Academy. First, I will let them explain it to you."
My parents walked out of one of the corners of the room.
My dad was tall with dark blue eyes and dark brown hair. My mum had dirty blond hair and ice blue eyes. She was significantly smaller than my dad. I was almost her height. I didn't know how to react. I had never come in contact with my parents. I had only seen pictures. My entire life I had been living with my guardians who had adopted me. I don't remember when I was born, but I know that my parents left me. No explanation. I had been doing perfectly well without them in my life. I narrowed my eyes angrily at them.
"So after I turn 12 is when you come back?", I asked.
"It's not like that, sweetheart. I would say a lot more but to sum it up, your dad and I are spies. We went away on a secret mission right after you were born." My first instinct was to believe them. Based on the events today, and the fact that we are in a building for spies supported that. Then I thought, my parents have a boring job, employed at a museum in London that displayed British artifacts. Then again, this sounded more like a cover story, given that I didn't know of any museum close by. Before I could think anymore however, my best friend, Kim, burst through the double doors. "Catherine, you need to tell us everything you know." My parent's both looked her way.
"Kim dear, so nice to see you. Hopefully you were watching Cathy when this kidnapping happened?" my mum asked.
"Yes. I was trailing her the minute she started running. For a few minutes, I lost them, until I found the warehouse." I was going to ask how my mother knew Kim but decided there were more important things at hand.
"I wasn't alone, I was with Jonathan, but they took him with them."
"Jonathan who?" the principal asked, concerned.
"Jonathan Mako," I replied. "He transferred from my school to St. Johnson's Math Academy for Boys and Girls. Or something like that."
"St. John's Art Academy for Boys and girls."
"How do you know?" I questioned.
"Because Jonathan Mako goes to MI6 Academy," the principal declared.
"That was a cover name?" I asked, incredulous. "And Jonathan goes to the academy?"
"He does. He must have joined the party when I lost you guys."
"He did. He tried to save me, but somebody pointed a gun at us", I explained. "I last saw him at the warehouse, so maybe he's still there."
"I doubt it," Kim told us. "They probably are gone by now, seeing as they thought you knew you were a legacy, and would go to this building for help. Just in case, the coordinates are 55.7064° N, 0.1279°." I couldn't believe this. I was a legacy, my parents were spies, and I hadn't seen them my whole life because they were off trying to save the world.
"Kim are you a-," I started, but Kim didn't let me finish.
"A spy, yes. I'm a legacy, too."
"Well," the principal said. "I assume that you will come to the academy?"
