We shared a look. It looked as though even Kim knew we weren't getting out of this one.

I took a glance at the computer. Right after Kim pulled out the drive was when the smoke came out of the computer. There must have been some type of fail safe. That would also explain how the guards had gotten there so quickly. We were screwed. I didn't know how we were going to get out alive.

And then there was Jonathan.

Our chances at saving him before were doubtful, but now it was downright impossible. I couldn't help feeling that we had let him down. If we were even going to even stand a chance at escaping, then we need a plan. Now.

"Put your hands up!" one guard yelled at the top of his lungs(as if we weren't 1 foot away from each other). Kim and I did exactly as they said. As they put handcuffs on my wrist they took away Kim's utility belt and patted her down. Unfortunately, they found the drive in Kim's pocket. The guard that cuffed me found the two guns on me and handed them to another guard. When I looked back at Kim, her guard already had four guns and a zipline.

If our identities were compromised, we would have to be normal again. After all, if these bad guys leaked our name to other bad guys then that would take away our ability to be spies. That was, if they had the information. We would just have to keep our mouths shut for as long as we could. Lastly, my guard took the laser from before. Well, that was it. My last weapon. No miracle would happen this time.

I took 1 last glance at Kim. One guard took the barrel of his gun and touched a huge lump on Kim's left foot, showing through her shoe.

"What now," Kim sighed. "I can't have a bump?". The guard was hesitant but eventually slung his back over his shoulder again. I thought there was something wrong, though. I certainly would have noticed if that bump was there before. I thought maybe she got into a fight and didn't want them to know we were spies-to-be. Then I realized that Kim would never lose a fight. Nobody wanted to fight her anyway. And one more thing. Her shoe looked disturbingly close to that of the spy model shoe we had learned about. It could store any type of weapon because of the compartments in them.

I don't know what I was thinking. The guard handling me marched me out of the door and along the halls of the building. As we walked, I could feel employees glaring at me. And there were a lot of employees. 300, maybe. We were doomed. There was no plan that could get us out of this. We turned down a hall that was deserted, which made me feel a little bit better. Suddenly, I felt someone kicking at me. I looked over to see it was Kim. She was motioning for me to cover my eyes for 60 seconds. I don't know why she motioned to, but it wouldn't hurt anyone. I got my shirt in front of my eyes.

I waited 1 minute and heard groans and what sounded like a knife slicing through the air.

When I looked back over, all the guards were sprawled on the ground, some having passed out. What really bothered me, though, was that Kim's bump was gone. And she had a knife in her left hand. I was about to ask her about it when she told me to do it. We heard about 4 people approaching us. The thing was, there was nowhere to hide. Kim and I raced over to the men and grabbed as many weapons as we could. When the people finally arrived, we had our guns aimed at them. We had caught the people by surprise. Or so we thought.

Because somebody came through a vent in the ceiling and knocked Kim and I out.
