Harley P.O.V
You know the feeling when your heart drops to the floor? When you know you can't do anything about that thing. It's just that thing. It's something you can't stop from happening. My parents died in a car crash. It happened five months ago. The pain never goes away. You always feel like it's your fault but it's really not.
It was there usual date night. Every Thursday. I would sit at home watch tv like a normal person.
But that day was never normal.I saw flashing red and blue lights out my window. I knew it was the police. I just didn't know why?
When a police officer has to tell you what happened to your loved one when something happens. It the last thing you want to here at night.
That night I didn't sleep. I spent it at the police station waiting for my aunt to come get me. You see officers going in and out the doors. I wondered if they would have ever come.
That whole week was just not feeling like what happened happened. My aunt and uncle were emotion like I was.
They decided we were better going off to Washington were they drove down from.
I say going to a new school will be different. New people I don't know and trust. Other people that can hurt me more than I already am.
"Hey Harley you ok back there?" My aunt asks me turning her head my way.
Oh..I forgot to mention we are on are way to Washington now. It was refreshing knowing that I will have a another chapter in my life.
"Yeah I'm fine just in deep thought" I say creasing my eyebrows.
Before all this happened I lived in Oregon. Portland, Oregon to be exact. Not the city side though. More like the suburb.
"We are here!" My Uncle announces shutting the driver door.
Great. A new house to get used to. The house is two stories. The outside is white with a bite of gray to the paint.
This could get some getting used to. My mom and me used to look at these mansions. We would call them our dream homes. I knew we could never afford them. It was fun to do though.
"Ok Harley your room will be right down the hall from our bedroom" Hail says pointing to my bedroom door.
"Thanks Aunt Hail" I say carrying my box of my most prize possessions while my ponytail flaps from shoulder to shoulder.
"Ok not bad" I say putting the heavy box down on the bed.
My room was small but it was big enough for my stuff to fit.I flop down on my new bed. It's comfy. Like super comfy. I could lay here all day everyday. But I knew I had to go to school.
"Harley dinners going to be ready at seven" Hail says opening my door.
"Thanks" I say smiling and nodding my head.
Once she closes the door I go to my special box. It is full with pictures of me, my mom, and my dad.
I pick up the one picture we're me and dad used to always go. To the carnival. Every year when it would come around he would tale me. I was on his back with my hands up in the air while my mom laughs in the background.
I run my hand down the picture. By this time this year we would have another picture of us at the carnival. But things didn't turn out right.
I miss them so much.

I wanted to do less dialogue until the important parts come out to play.😁
