Six years later......
"Knox hurry up!" I yell knocking on my sons door."Coming mom" He says opening the door.
"We don't want to be late for your fathers game he'll kill us." I say playing with his hair.
"Mommy!" My daughter Julia says running up to me.
"Yes sweetie?" I say picking her up.
She was only four when Knox was six.
"Were's daddy?" She whines.
"We're going to see daddy!" I say happily kissing her head.
"Let's go Knox" I say making him walk in front of me.
One kid in my arms and one in front of me. Where did the time go?
———-///////——————-////—————————-
"Look Julia It's daddy" I say to her patting her back pointing to Kason.Kason has a big smile on his face. He was looking at us. I wave to him and he waved to us. He ran over to us.
"Daddy!" Julia yells running to Kason arms.
"Hey pumpkin" he says rubbing her back.
"Hey dad" Knox says hugging his father.
"We've missed you" I say putting my arms on the overhang.
"I've missed you guys" he says handing Julia back to me.
"I love you" I say quickly kissing him.
"I Love you too" he says smiling
"We will be cheering you on." I say ruffling his hair.
"I hope" he says hugging Knox again.
"See you on the field" Knox says pulling back from the hug.
"See you guys after the game. Love you!" He says blowing a kiss at us.
This was a very special football game for him. His kids were here for the first time. He made the best out of it and won.
We celebrated by getting ice cream Julia suggested. Kason's and Julia watched tv while I took Knox to bed.
Julia was definitely a daddies girl. Knox's was mine and I loved him. I love Julia too but Knox was a mommies boy.
"You know mom I wish I could find someone I love like you love dad?" He says putting his covers over him.
"You will but your only six" I say laughing.
He was mature for his age. He didn't act like a six year old would.
"I love you mom" he says hugging me.
"Love you too Knox" I say kissing his head.
"Goodnight" I say closing the door.
Kason walks up behind me wrapping his arms around me.
"When did we grow up?" He asks putting his chin on my shoulder.
"I don't know" I say shaking my head.
"When did our son grow up.. and when did Julia?" I ask turning to him.
"I don't know..but it's been the best six years someone could ask for." I say putting my hand over his.
"I love every second of it" I say leaning my head back.
"Me too" I say going to our bedroom.
We were forever. We made it. We lived.
Together.
