Lord Kurro and Purah could only watch helplessly as y/n slowly died more and more. They knew Rauru could feel it as it started to shut down slowly. That was why Purah started to research the Divine Beast more and it's connection to y/n. Zelda volunteered to help study Rauru but Lord Kurro forbid her from entering his lands. Revali would visit every now and then to check on her and Night Sky. He even checked on Rauru but the Divine Beast was obviously getting weaker.

"She won't make it... will she?" Lord Kurro muttered sorrowfully.
"I'm afraid the damage may not be reversed if her power isn't returned... she's got a higher chance of dying then living... I'm sorry Kurro," Purah apologised before leaving.

Lord Kurro looked at his pendant to see it dulling more and more.

"Come back home soon..." he pleaded.

Commotion from outside his home, caught his attention so he exited his house to see. He could see Zelda with Link and two other guards.

"Please let me help," she pleaded to the Lord.
"I'm afraid it's too late... your father has killed her and Vah Rauru," Lord Kurro told her as he held the almost dull pendant.
"No...." Zelda spoke in disbelief.
"The calamity has killed Lady y/n and the life inside Divine Beast Vah Rauru. I hope you and your father are happy," Lord Kurro spoke so coldly, that snow started to fall.
"There must be something I can do..." she tried as tears fell.
"Considering she is now the seal, there is nothing that can be done. By the time you reach her, she will be dead. Her power is all that remains," Lord Kurro told her bluntly before he showed her y/n.
"Please... no..." Zelda grabbed her hand to only withdraw it at the icy temperature.
"Continue with time royal duties before you experiment first. It will stop the death count being so much," Lord Kurro stated.

Zelda left the house with her guards and Link but when she looked at Rauru, she could see it power down completely. The Divine Beast started to free fall as it descended faster and faster. The villagers and guards got out of the way whilst Lord Kurro ran to it with Purah. Zelda followed with her guards and Link. When Rauru crashed, it was into the nearby lake and mountain. What no one saw, was the golden owl fly from it and towards y/n.

"I can't get a reading on Rauru's spirit. It's gone," Purah said sadly.
"Thank you for everything Vah Rauru," Lord Kurro placed a hand on the powered down Divine Beast.
"This means, the other champions can't fall or we'll lose the other Divine Beasts.." Zelda spoke her thoughts.
"I'm afraid that isn't how it works. Vah Rauru was connected to y/n herself. Not the power she held. How many times do I need to tell you, the Divine Beasts are alive. They have their own spirit. I'm sure Vah Rauru will one day return," Lord Kurro stated before adding, "Now if you will leave my lands. I would appreciate it."

When Lord Kurro left, Purah turned to Zelda.

"Ignore him Princess. He's having a hard time accepting what happened. First his wife. His son. Then his lover. Now it's y/n. Lord Kurro has gone through more then you can imagine," Purah told her before adding, "If y/n was here, she would of thanked you for all the help with Vah Rauru and being her first ever friend."

What any of them failed to notice, was the purple, pink and red calamity that appeared in the Divine Beast before dying as it couldn't possess Rauru's spirit. From that point, Rauru knew what was about to happen so it started to head to Rito Village. It was snowy and dark until Rauru's light shone through to Revali as he was at the flight range. Revali looked up to the golden owl before beckoning it over.

"It's beginning. Be prepared," a voice in his head echoed.
"Thank you Rauru. I'm ready for it," Revali petted it.

Rauru started to fade into dust like stars.

"My time is up Champion of Vah Medoh. My Mistress will be free the second the calamity awakens. Me and her shall appear to help. Don't let us down," the voice echoed in his head again.
