"BOTH OF YOU ARE NEXT! YOU CAN'T RUN!"
Y/n screamed as she shot awake. Sweat dripped down the sides of her head with tears brimming in her bloodshot eyes. Her body was trembling in response. Black stars immediately flickering around her. A golden light pulsed throughout Rauru, soothing y/n. She could feel the connection hinting to Hateno being outside.
"Land until I'm back on board," y/n muttered, still shaken.
She grabbed her cloak, exiting Rauru when he landed. She was using the cover of night to sneak throughout the village and hide Rauru. After reaching her home, y/n backed the supplies she would need for herself, Night Sky and Raikou. She attached these very supplies to both horses before leading them into Rauru with their gear. The second the horses were walking along the ramp inside the Divine Beast, Rauru began to ascend. Y/n watched Hateno get smaller and smaller, the higher they went. Y/n had settled Raikou and Night Sky into their stalls on Rauru before going to the top. She leaned back against the Divine Beast, facing skywards. She laid there, admiring the stars and trying to forget the deadly stars that seemed to appear. Even now, small ones floated around her with some golden stars.
"How do I handle this Kurro?.." y/n sighed sadly, "If you were here, you would know what to do..."
Rauru purred through the bond to try and sooth her. Both of them knew it would only provide temporary comfort until the storm reappeared.
"Let's hide in Faron. We can journey around there and hide your Divine Beast form in the lake there," y/n spoke softly, playing with a gold star in her hand.
Rauru agreed as a roar echoed all around.
"That's a way to wake the neighbours," y/n chuckled.
Rauru huffed playfully, through their bond. Y/n laughed more whilst petting the ground below. This seemed to earn a happy purr from Rauru.
"It's still weird hearing you purr considering your owl form," y/n commented softly.
She heard the purring get louder and louder.
"Alright," she chuckled, "I get it! You're extremely happy!"
Rauru roared happily which only made y/n roll her eyes in amusement. Both of them were distracted with their conversation that they didn't notice Revali land nor lean against one of the outside pillars. It was the faint shadow which caught y/n's attention as it blocked Rauru's blue glow. She looked towards the source to see Revali looking at her. She recognised the raised look as him wanting answers. The very answers she didn't know. This thought only seemed to turn more gold stars into a black colour as they lost their light.
"What exactly happened earlier? I don't recall that many dull stars nor your power striking at friends," Revali asked, slowing walking over, "I don't blame it striking that Hylian. I would of let mine do the same."
Y/n sat up so her back faced him. She was biting her lower lip, trying to control the uncertainty and nervousness.
"I don't know," she murmured, "It kinda just happened."
At her answer, more black stars flickered to life. Y/n tensed more, dreading the damage they would do to Revali.
"It's seems pretty obvious," he muttered, taking in y/n's behaviour.
"I don't believe it's emotion based otherwise it would of struck sooner," y/n cut in, sensing what he was thinking.Revali simply hummed as he settled by y/n. Wrapping his wings around her, he brought y/n against him. His wings acting as a shield yet warm and comforting blanket. His head rested against her neck. Y/n tensed at first but slowly relaxed. Some of the black stars faded whilst more gold stars returned. Y/n watched them change, fade and reappear. It was like they became the twinkling stars above.
"It hasn't always appear to my emotions," y/n thought, "I'll deal with it later..."
At that thought, all the magic stars disappeared like they were never there. The only stars being the ones above that watched the Rito and half Hylian half Rito. The ones welcoming peace, returning to them both. The hypnotising silver full moon, only adding to it all. Even the gentle breeze from the wind provided a comforting embrace.
"Could it possible be danger related?.." was Revali's last thought before the blissful silence welcomed him.
The ruffling of feathers and little whispers of hair strands floating softly in the wind, was all that could be heard. Minus Rauru's Divine Beast form keeping them airborne. The faint sound of Night Sky and Raikou could barely be heard from their playful bonding.
"Everything is even more peaceful with him here," y/n thought, smiling softly.
Her eyes closed, enjoying the sensation around. Revali nuzzled further into her neck, still feeling the few feathers of his, brushed passed him from y/n's hair. Even she could feel her own feathers on him, brushing against her neck and shoulder.
"Just a little bit longer," y/n left her thoughts on that.
