Chapter Twenty Two

When morning came, y/n slipped out of bed to let Revali sleep. She left a note to where she would be, if he wanted to join her. She had mounted Night Sky and nudged the mare to trot through the village before Night Sky galloped as she ascended the mountain.

"We're going to cut across the sea from the beach. I want to reach Lupin village (think that's the beach village name)," y/n told Night Sky, "There are some monsters over there that we need to get rid of."

Night Sky neighed in excitement before running even faster. Y/n chuckled as she rolled her eyes. As Night Sky was about to touch the ocean, golden and black mixed stars appeared as ice appeared below Night Sky's hooves. The second her hooves left the ice, the ice had melted away. This allowed them to cross the sea and to the other side before Night Sky ran alongside the beach there. Y/n had then readied her light bow as the light arrows started to glow. Night Sky tucked her head in more as she braced to ram the upcoming mounted moblins. Three arrows were fired before Night Sky forced another three moblins off of their horses. Y/n quickly fired another three light arrows which finished them off.

"That was easy," y/n snickered.
"Probably because they're weak," Revali spoke up as he flew slightly above them.
"Nice of you to join us," y/n winked playfully.

She nudged Night Sky more as the mare ran faster then before. A few rogue guardians were here which y/n didn't want to chance. Revali though, flew higher up with his gale activating, to avoid being seen. Y/n raised her cloak whilst lowering herself so she rested against Night Sky's neck. She was hoping that the guardians would assume Night Sky didn't have a rider or think of her as an enemy.

"We could handle these rogues," Revali spoke up as they got into a hidden section.

Night Sky slowed to a stop whilst y/n looked back. Her hands clenched the reigns tightly as she mentally though of the pros and cons. The biggest con being her power since it was temperamental at the moment. The biggest pro, she had Revali with her so it would be one Champion fighting.

"Very well," y/n muttered as she dismounted Night Sky.

The mare looked at her worried before listening as y/n told her to stay. Y/n started to walk back as Revali got to higher grounds so he could release an onslaught of arrows. As the rogue guardian caught sight of y/n, it started to aim for her before arrows rained down on it. Y/n continued to walk towards it whilst firing light arrows from the light bow.

"More health then a usual one," y/n muttered, "Must of been an old guardian for Hateno before it went rogue."

The rogue guardian fired at y/n but she ducked and rolled out of the way. The ground behind her, had flames flicker to life.

"Damn.." y/n mentally cursed.

She outstretched her right hand towards the flames before the flames became gold. At the moment, only gold stars appeared but soon, black stars showed up as the now golden flames attacked the guardian.

"Is it a count down or something?" Y/n mumbled as the golden flames disappeared from her control.

Revali shot the last kill-shot of the rogue guardian before it disintegrated. He had landed by it before looking for parts he could trade for ancient arrows. Y/n watched in thought whilst Night Sky nudged her.

"When it's just us two, I want to test a theory," y/n whispered to the mare.

Night Sky nodded whilst y/n mounted her horse.

"We'll see you at Lupin Village," y/n told Revali, "I'm sure you're get there first."

She teased him with the last part. Night Sky turned around before galloping again, towards Lupin Village.
